[ She coughs, clearing her throat as she reorganizes her own thoughts. So this is his little brother, huh...? She already figured that he fit his description, but to be honest, it's hard to picture them as being related by blood. ]
Sorry, I just... well, I met your older brother. In Johto, I mean. Not in Heartland. He told me a little about you and his family... and I learned about the Numbers because there was a bit of confusion concerning the worlds we come from, so we ended up exchanging a bunch of information.
[ She sighs. ]
Now that I know you're III... you don't have to worry, your Heartland is probably fine. This Heartland is... well, it's not like I ever lived here myself, but it's a different Heartland. My world's Heartland.

[Between V's aloofness and IV being IV, well, III knows they can be tricky to deal with. But more importantly...]
...So this is another dimension's Heartland? I'm going to have a lot to tell my father whenever I go home, he and V were supposed to be the ones researching this kind of other dimension stuff... [III weakly laughs. Looks like he's trying to cope with the horrific situation by clinging to his distant family.]

[ She pauses, briefly unsure of what to really say about their relationship. It was a while ago by now, but he still ended up making a mark in her memories... though it's funny to think that by now, she's a year older than him. ]
...well, let's just say that it was never a dull moment with him around.
[ That's certainly putting it mildly. Still, even if he was a little twisted, she has to say that... she misses him. She misses a lot of people, though, so she's used to the feeling by now. ]
Yep. In my world, there used to be one single dimension, but it got split into four based on each summoning method. This is the Xyz Dimension's Heartland, and...
[ She takes the opportunity to peak her head out, making sure that they're still clear. ]
...the Xyz Dimension was invaded. By the Fusion Dimension. They appeared out of nowhere and attacked indiscriminately, turning people into cards. If you could duel, you could at least fight back... but the people of the Xyz Dimension didn't know anything about Fusion Summoning, while the Fusion Dimension had gathered information before they attacked. For a while, it was a fight where the Xyz Duelists were constantly backed into a corner... and if you lose, you get turned into a card, so Heartland ended up like this.
[ She lets out a small sigh. ]
Well, I lived in Standard, not Xyz... so I'm just saying what I heard about after the fact.
[ And yet she speaks about it so vividly... ]

Well, he can ask later, when he isn't stuck in a hellscape. Speaking of the hellscape-]
That's awful. Why would they do that? [III pulls out his deck but doesn't do anything with it for now, instead just holding it. If Yuzu looks, she'll see the current top card is Chronomaly Tula Guardian.]
...Er, if you don't want to answer that, it's fine. It sounds upsetting, even if you were from Standard and not XYZ. [He's noticed how vividly Yuzu described it.]

[ She pauses... ]
It's a long story. We should focus on finding a way out of here.
[ And to be fair, it is a long story... but it's also hard to mention that when it comes to "why"... well, merging the dimensions back together was one reason, but the main reason ultimately comes back down to her, doesn't it?
Or rather, all four of them. ]
Well... I'd be lying if I wasn't considering staying. This is as close to home as I've been in a long time, but...
[ She looks down at her hand... and as if on queue, it starts to briefly glitch out before returning to normal. She closes her eyes and sucks in a breath. ]
...I guess it's not that easy. Besides, the war should already be over... so the fact that it isn't probably means this isn't quite "home" for me anyway.
[ She glances over at III, her eyes catching sight of his deck. ]
...I wouldn't bother. They won't lend you a duel disk just because you have a deck. It'd be one thing if we could steal one, but for now...
[ She pulls out a Pokeball. ]
We'll have to make do with what we have now. Any ideas on how to get back?
