Totally forgot to specify I rolled Iron Moth for the paradox pokémon, whoops...

[Sticky Hold, as it happens. Though Storm Drain wouldn't have been the end of the world... a boost to Doug's special attack would have also been helpful. Still, a water move on a partially fire type Pokémon is probably the best option they could have hoped for. Especially with the rain still going.

It is not happy. It makes it dissatisfaction known with a retaliatory Discharge aimed at the newcomer.]

Doug, Mud-Slap. Let's wear down its accuracy.

[Maybe a strange choice considering the rain. Even with a double weakness to ground type moves it's not exactly a powerful move, but the weather conditions are mostly aimed at decreasing the power of the Iron Moth's own moves, and especially with an ally that can attack now there's a lot of benefit to spending his time hampering their opponent in whatever ways he can.]
paladinlost: (unmoved)

I figured that was the most likely option!

[Discharge. A special move, Electric. A type Rosie is neutral against, inflicting damage she resists well. Nothing to worry about yet, but it does harm her a bit more than Cecil was expecting; that thing obviously hits hard.

Frankly, considering what Cecil recalls of those moths from moths during that little trip down Area Zero, they're extremely lucky. A Poison-type attack would have caused a lot more damage. Still, this is something Rosie can counter, to some degree.]

Light Screen. Make sure to cover both of you.

[Not that Rosie needs to be told that. Between the extra protection and the lowered accuracy, she should be able to keep attacking longer before any healing is needed.]
