That was the only cup I could get out of Lust's dumb fancy espresso machine that wasn't full of grounds!

[It feels very...something, to be back in this city as a homunculus and yet still getting that now more normal sympathetic jolt of oh no not the only cup of coffee! 8( ]

[Disorienting comes close. It would be a lot weirder if he didn't know this definitely wasn't real. So he grimaces, and finishes walking to her; by this point, she'll probably be able to notice quick that he's changed species.]

Eugh...I don't know how many good towels we're gonna find down here either. But here--

[He lifts his arm (and more importantly, jacket sleeve) to attempt to wipe some of the coffee off her face.]

[The further out from the main buildings you get, the more likely things like fabric are to fall apart when used. There's no way in hell he's going anywhere near Dante's personal rooms where actual good towels are most likely to be.]

_{[She allows her face to be wiped off (is the sleeve thing a habit he picked up from her? it feels like it is) and it's only when she's standing still for that that their physical surroundings actually start to sink in.]}

[It's definitely a habit he picked up from her! It also helps to still be wearing a real, human jacket that even has sleeves to wipe at anything with.]

[Envy grimaces, looking around again himself. That's right, she hasn't been down here...and there's never really been a reason to tell her about it.]

[In an instant, Heather goes from grousing to very serious.]</sub>

I...have no idea, actually. I haven't gone over to the part where she might be be to check. [He! Really doesn't wanna find out! He also really doesn't want Heather to find out! Not if Dante has her alchemy available to her.] Someone's down here.

[As if on cue, another chorus of incomprehensible angry shouts echoes through the cavern. Sound travels far in this place.]

A lot of someones. This never happened.

[He sighs, but there's an uneasy set to his shoulders.]

If she's down here, I don't...want to run into her. It wouldn't be like that other dream.

_{[He is very wise to not want Heather and Dante to bump into each other, and Heather's instant, growled response probably only solidifies that.]}

It wouldn't be like that other dream because there aren't any cliffs around so I'd have to do it the hands-on way.

_{[But she won't go looking, at least. She's not so blindly bloodthirsty about Dahlia Dante that she'd chance actively putting Envy in danger.]}

[He'd accept being thought of as the damsel in need of protecting in this situation if it means Heather doesn't go looking for a fully aware Dante with her alchemy. Heather's tough but she's never fought an alchemist, much less one who could transmute with a clap. She wouldn't know what to expect. It's very possible he wouldn't even be able to help at all.]

[He has had many nightmares about that very scenario. In some of them, his former Master is wearing her face by the end. The thought makes his legs shake. And even if he breathes out a laugh in response to what she says, it's a strained one.]

Ha, right, of course.

But...if we do see her? I'm not kidding, we have to hide. Just...trust me on that. I'd rather look for the way out.

Anyway. If she's down here, it sounds like she's gonna be pretty occupied.

[A thought occurs to him.]

I do know ONE place I'm pretty sure we could go to and it be fine. Assuming it hasn't exploded.

_{[Heather lets out a grudging scoff, but shrugs in surrender. OKAY OKAY FINE. She won't make any promises out loud though. IT'S ON SIGHT, DANTE.]}

Not-exploded would be good.

Considering we don't have any weapons or our Pokemon, I'm generally in favor of staying away from whatever all that noise is.
