JURASSIC PROM
Who: EVERYONE
Where: The prehistoric woods that will someday be home to the Ilex Forest Shrine
When: April 30
Summary: Celebi says Ah. My bad.
Rating: Mark your threads if necessary! And mind the fermented tree sap.
OOC Info: here!

It’s been a long couple of weeks since Celebi accidentally snatched all the other-worlders as it skipped out on the present day, leaving a gaggle of confused other-worlders in prehistoric Johto with little to work with other than whatever useful supplies they may have had on them. Credit where it is due, the little green time traveler has settled down enough to realize its mistake. Before returning its accidental travel companions to the time they belong in, it has a proper send-off to offer everyone as an apology.
Wherever they have wandered in the preceding weeks, as the sky fades to orange and pink on the comfortably balmy evening of April 30th, Celebi appears to cordially invite every other-worlder to its own take on prom. Formal attire is taken care of courtesy of the littlest Legendary, and it trends toward the leafy and green in style and substance. The clearing it has made in the patch of forest it calls home is a snapshot of a fantasy, with all the odd quirks that might come with the territory of a gala planned by a Pokémon who only sorta-kinda knows human tastes but is doing its very best:
The Ilex Forest used to span the entirety of Johto’s central peninsula, but this thinned grove of roots and vines and impossibly tall trees might be familiar to a geographically savvy visitor; this area of forest still remains in the modern day, and it is where the human-made shrine to Celebi still stands. As the sun sets, soft lights of many colors come to float overhead and illuminate the party area. Upon closer inspection, visitors will see that the lights are actually a tiny, unshelled variant of Minior. While they are unbothered by the presence of people and other Pokémon, they will flee at first sign of what could be aggression, so hopeful collectors of this ancient breed will be out of luck.
The branches forming the canopy overhead tower cathedral-like, draped with enormous flowers and ferns the likes of which can only be found in the distant past. Carbink of many shapes, sizes, and colors are gathered in a semblance of a percussion band, clinking in rhythm to create soft, twinkling xylophone music. Tree roots tangle into benches and bucket seats of drastically varying size; some way too small to be comfortably used by any average adult, others a good way to take a load off. Spanning beyond the central clearing are smaller alcoves of winding branches and vines, tunnels leading off to more secluded areas of the forest. Beyond the party's immediate reach, visitors might encounter anything from a picturesque, babbling creek to a sleepy, cranky, large Pokémon.
There are even refreshments! Perhaps solving a problem by creating another one for some unlikely waitstaff, the catering team for the prom that was supposed to be held tonight has also beendragged brought to the party. Making the best of a ridiculous situation, they’re offering an ever-replenishing assortment of berries. Some are vaguely recognizable; this blue one that might someday be a Rawst berry has a cooling flavor. That round, yellow one has a bit of a spicy kick to it. Paired with the berries are makeshift stoneware cups filled with a mysterious, amber liquid. The offering isn’t immediately obvious, but by smell and the adventurous taste, it’s probably fermented tree sap. Points for effort?
Partygoers who are either keen to explore or particularly lucky will stumble upon creatively hidden Eggs!
As a final surprise, some trainers will find that one or several of their Pokemon have… temporarily reverted to a pre-evolution? Apparently Celebi has decided that, since Prom is traditionally an event for teenagers, some Pokemon deserve an opportunity to be young during it too!
At the stroke of midnight, every visitor will find themselves in the blink of an eye exactly where they were the moment Celebi whisked them away. These last two weeks have very much passed in the present day, but each character will be doing and dressed as they were the moment they were accidentally taken.

Because even now, Cecil certainly can't decide which it was. Though he did get two beloved team members out of it.
"It is indeed very lively. The sort of dance that should be popular on a summer day, when clothes are colorful and hearts are light."

Sunny side up, there were humans back then to interact with for survival.
"Oh I love that idea of it being used for a summer day! It'd be so much fun to do. I think they have those fun shirts that changes colors in the sun?"
