Library | Ecruteak City | Early Feb

[Now that Rui has started travelling again, its been harder to justify sitting down at the local libraries they pass by. This month, however, he and Cali are planning on staying the whole month in Ecruteak, allowing him to get research done. Valentine's Day, local fairy tales, and a couple romance books are his choice of study today.His notebooks and library books sprawled across one of the largest tables in the library, taking up the table on his own. If someone comes by he'll look a bit surprised.]

Oya? Do you need me to move some of my stuff?

[He just realized how much space he's ended taking up.]

Market Stalls | Ecruteak City | Early Feb

[The market stalls in Ecruteak boast a lot of interesting wares, and with how much Rui performs in this city, you'd think he'd know better than to walk past as a shortcut. Unfortunately, Rui does not have the best impulse control, which is how he's ended up looking at some very pretty trinkets. He has both a ratty looking backpack, and a large messenger bag on him, both incredibly full, but...]

This craftmanship is incredible, isn't it?

[He's completely enamored with it.]

Streetside | Ecruteak City | Can be either the 12th, 13th, or 14th

[Rui is wearing his normal performance costume as he stands in a open, but semi bustling street in Ecruteak with a Steenee with a pink bow on her head and a male Meowstic with the same kind of pink bow around his neck on either side of him.]

Valentine’s Day. A day where we show our love to those we care for, or maybe…in this case, the blossoming of a new love?

[The Steenee, Cinia, takes a few steps forward, and begins dancing. She starts out with a Splash as she hops around with cute, matching arm movements, its not long though before she twirls in a Rapid Spin. The Meowstic, Purrince, watches on in obvious awe, before he quickly slicks back his fur and adjusts his bow. He makes a ganbare pose before walking up to Cinia, who’s back to her Splash dance steps.

Once near the grass type, Purrince bows with a flourish. Cinia pauses and tilts her head curiously at the newcomer. The Meowstic gulps, and starts mimicking her earlier steps with Role Play, but before Cinia could join him, he trips and falls. With Fake Tears welling in his eyes, he runs away. Cinia reaches a hand out as if to call after him, but it’s too late.

Her Magical Leaf obscures the “stage” for a moment.]

Sometimes, even when trying our best, we stumble. However, that doesn’t mean we’ve failed.

[As the leaves fall away, the audience will be able to see Cinia approach Purrince, who is facing away from her and is singing out with a sad Disarming Voice. The pink ripples float up and out, fading before they can harm anyone. She listens for a time. The Steenee calls out and Purrince turns to face her, mouth open in surprise. Cinia holds out a hand, which he hesitantly takes. She Plays Nice as she teaches him her dance steps. As they dance, Cinia’s Sweet Scent fills the area with pink mist. She spins the Meowstic, who’s Swift stars join the mist in a dance of their own.]

One cannot love alone, and so in love, one should not be expected to struggle alone. Together, we can face challenges that we cannot by ourselves.

[The dancing slows to a stop, and the three bow to the audience to signal the end of the show. Rui and his Pokemon partners will be milling around the area for awhile afterwards. The Pokemon getting a chance to rest and eat some Berries as a treat.]

Hotpot Restraunt | Ecruteak City | February 14th | Closed to Cali

I've actually never been here before. I hope you like it.

[Rui is seated at their table in the Hotpot Restraunt with a colorful giftbag next to him. Cali is a dear friend, and he wants to spoil her as much as he can, even if he can't pull out all the stops while they're travelling.]

Same, this place looks amazing! Thank you Rui for taking me here for my birthday.

[ Cali goes to get Sweet Sixteen, Chantilly, and Alfinse up onto their seats for hotpot. The energy is raw as Cali vibrates with excitement, dinner with an amazing friend and its hot pot! ]

PokeCenter | Azelea Town | Late Feburary

[Rui chuckles as he goes over his strategy for Bugsy's Gym in his head again. He's sitting on one of the couches in the PokeCenter while his team for the battle are getting a final check up beforehand.]

Most of my Pokemon are not suited for fighting Bug Types, however, I believe I've come up with a winning strategy~

[And if all else fails, he'll send Echo out to sweep since she's probably plenty strong enough to take on this Gym herself.]

Now for the worst part...Waiting. Hmmmm...

[Rui scans the Center for anyone else waiting around, before approaching.]
