Okay, so. I think the part where I ask what the heck is going is super obvious, so I won't even bother. I'm sure someone will give me an explanation for this. And it better be good! Seriously, I've dealt with enough crazy already, let's get this over with quickly and I won't have to sue anyone.

Now. On to other important matters. [There's a beat, then Pacifica taps against the gear, which you can't exactly see, but it's audible.] So is this like the latest model, or what? Don't get me wrong. Loving the color, I so approve. But if there's something better, I need to know right away so I can upgrade.

God, if it turns out this is like last year's model, it'll just be embarrassing. Can you even imagine? No, I'm going to take care of this potential disaster right now.

[Another pause. She glances at something off to the side, off-screen, before looking back.]

...Also, there's a little, like... tree ghost following me and it's making me super uncomfortable, what do I do about that? I kinda thought I was done with ghosts.

But like it or not, the little guy's your only protection against other wild animals and all the bigger towns are at least three days away.

They are called Phantump! Even though they are ghost types, the stump they carry is actually still growing! Is that not fascinating?

Welcome to the land of Pokemon! Which is what that little ghost guy is. Not exactly a ghost, but a type of native animal. The animals and people coexist and work together and everybody has a special Pokemon they get when they first come here.

They're pretty much all tougher than they look. Seems like you got a real shy one, though... maybe it likes other Pokemon more.
