[Once the feed is on, Maurice fumbles with his Poke'Gear until he's sure he has the little camera facing the right way. His hair is a mess, flecked with confetti, and there are two freshly dyed red streaks running through his bangs. His eyes are bloodshot as all hell but he looks happy. The man is slouched on a hotel bed that is sagging under the weight of one (1) entire Rhyhorn snoozing on it. There is a party hat on the end of its nose. A Furret is draped across the Rhyhorn's shoulders like a stripey feather boa. The shades are drawn because LIGHT IS BAD.]
You know...I haven't been here that long, and after last night I was almost absolutely positive I was gonna wake up in that alley back home...but instead I'm here in this--
[He pauses to wince. Oh, his head.]
--this beautiful place with a freakin' rhinoceros and a fire-breathing dog as best friends. And I'm just. Happy. I think these have been th' best few months of my entire life. I've made so many friends. You guys are great. You're just great.
[He sniffs, scrubbing at one eye.]
I just wanted to say that I guess. And if you've just showed up...man you are in for some goooood shit.
I'm gonna go...see what this world has in place of Gatorade. M'bye.
