Seriously, why does anyone let me walk through the forests instead of the routes? Noooo, sense of adventure I said. Take off the beaten road I said.

Minato I found my way, by the way. I'll get on a Poke-taxi in a few days back to the city.

Both me and Pikachu are okay. We're just resting up at the Pokemon Center right now. We had a couple of scrapes though, and didn't manage to capture anything.

The nurse on duty said it's because a bottle of Repel was spilled in my bag, so Pokemon weren't coming near as much as possible.

It soaked into the material, so basically I need to change bags now.

Yeah, I kinda have to anyhow. At least bags are easy to come by.

I saw a few grass types and I got to wondering if there's a universal grass move.

That's one thing I'm grateful about. I mean, the protagonist in the original thing was what, 10? Seriously.

Yeah, like some kind of ability that a Electric or any other type can learn.

I understand them just fine. I'm just trying to find a way through without having to stay on the beaten path.

It's just that all these routes look the same.

Probably why the routes all have these nifty little things called 'signs' on'em. Like at every crossroad. And the weird-ass, dangerous woods full of ledges that ignore physics and wild animals that attack you all the time is probably why roads exist in the first place.

Just saying.

Roads are for people who have no adventure. Imagine what you can find being out in the wild, away from the roads.

That's why I'm going through the world for the first time.
