[Considering that back home Jean had to worry about things like getting violently killed by man-eating giants, worrying about Pokemon is a welcome change of pace.]

Well, she's still responding when you talk about her, at least. Maybe she's just being a cat.

[Cats are great, Jean is definitely a cat person instead of a dog person, but he knows they can be fickle as fuck.]

It seems like all the bad stuff that happens in other worlds doesn't happen here. Everything that sucks or is shitty back home isn't a problem here. So she's probably just tired or something from evolving, and she'll be fine later, because anything else would be like something that would happen back home and not here.
