Hello everyone.

[Newt's sitting on a log in the middle of his camp, his usual awkward smile in place as his gaze seems only half focused on the 'gear itself.

Making eye contact in person is extremely difficult. It's just as hard for him over the network.]

I, ah, have currently found myself in a bit of an odd predicament. Not a bad sort of odd, by any means, but one that is going to hinder my ability to travel for a bit.

[To illustrate what he means, Newt turns the 'gear to show off his campsite in full. His tent is pitched several feet away and a small fire with a kettle getting warm over the fire in the middle of everything. And around the fire? All bundled up in jackets and blankets?

Eggs. Twenty-something eggs.]

My companions seem to have decided now was a good time for this and while I honestly don't mind, several of them have agreed to allow some of their young to be adopted out.

[He turns the 'gear around again so he's visible once more, his smile a bit more true now, a fond look about the young man.]

There is a clutch from Merlin, my Staravia friend, and his mate Helena, who is a Swanna. Malie, my Pikachu friend, and Hufflepuff the Ditto. And then my dear Salazar the Noibat and...well, to be honest I am not entirely sure who the mother of his eggs is. There have been several flying types hanging about as of late so it's either the lovely Noctowl that spent the night with us or the Pelipper that's been recovering from heat exhaustion.

[Either way, he's extremely excited about all of this.]

If you have any interest in taking on an egg, please let me know. It will require parental approval but once you have it, the egg will be delivered as quickly as possible.

[Well someone is enthusiastic.]

Ah--yes, Malie's offspring will be electric type.

[At the mention of her name, yet again, said Pikachu pops up in the frame. Yurio, meet the beach bum momma of those ten Pichu eggs. She grins at Yuri and waves a lazy paw, a shell bracelet around said paw to match the necklace she's wearing.

And yes, her heart-shaped tail is painted thank you very much.]

[ Yuri leans closer, Potya poking her head in the frame curiously. Ah MOUSE! She reaches out to pat the screen with her paw, meowing. ]

Oh, she's kinda cute isn't she... Cool! And you have the little ducks too right? I think that's what those were... I think Morskoy could use a duck friend.

[ Morskoy would have rolled his eyes if he heard that one. ]

[Malie perked up at the sight of Potya, chirping at her before squishing her own cheeks. Hello friend!]

I do, yes. Well, I will once they hatch, assuming they all end up Duckletts.

[As if on cue, behind Newt and Malie, Helena the Swanna struts past on her way to go check on her eggs.

See how elegant and beautiful she is, Yurio?]

[ Oh, he did. He very much did and he lifts the gear closer to try and see her better. She was so elegant! Wait, did he really want another elegant...WHO CARES, she was lovely!! ]

Wow..! Could I adopt one of those two? Maybe it'd be easier on them if they came together..

[ Potya seemed less impressed, patting the screen again where Malie's face was. ]

One moment--Merlin? Helena?

[Newt hands his 'gear to Malie who is quite content to smush her face against it because of Potya, chirping and twilling as she chats the other up because gosh you're so pretty!

Her trainer-friend can sort of be seen in the background, kneeling down before the Swanna and a large Staravia. He gestures back towards Malie and his 'gear, explaining the situation to them. Both Newt and Merlin look to Helena who puffs up a bit, clearly thinking it over..before giving a nod.

Acceptable.

Newt smiles and makes his way back over, gently taking the 'gear from Malie.]

The parents have okay'd you adopting one so I can send one along with Malie's egg.

[ This guy was a little strange but Yuri wasn't going to be rude about it. At least he was trying to not be rude about it as he gave the video a little bit of an odd look. To each their own, he supposed.

Potya looked exceedingly pleased with Malie's compliments, primping and preening for the Pikachu. She showed off her new collar, how long and elegant her fur looked as well.

Yuri plants a hand on her head to push her down a bit so he can talk to Newt. ]

I am interested in one of those Noibats if at all possible.

I unfortunately cannot promise that any of them are Noibats--it's a bit of a guessing game, I'm--

[Newt is interrupted by Salazar flying over to rest on his shoulder, the bat chittering softly at the young man, ears flicking about.]

...It would seem that Salazar has an idea of which one might give you a better shot. Again, it's just a guess but he is the father.

[YOU FEELING LUCKY, PUNK?]

[ Lucky enough, he supposed. ]

I hardly need a promise. Whatever hatches will be well cared for, if Salazar is comfortable with sending one along.

[Newt looked to Salazar, the Noibat peering at the 'gear for a long moment before he gave a firm nod.]

It seems he would be. I can have one of my companions deliver it to you, if that would be alright with you.

That would be just fine. I can send my Pidgeot to meet them halfway and escort them for their safety.

[ Not that he didn't believe they'd make it, it just seemed better to protect the egg. ]

That sounds perfect. I will let Merlin know to keep an eye out for a Pidgeot.

[Merlin would be a bit put off at first but once Newt explained it to him, since he understand Ignis's logic, the Staravia would be fine with it.]

[ Ravioli would be more than happy to assist as well. He'd become a rather gallant gentleman as of late.

If exceedingly condescending at times. ]

[...So many babies!]

Aaah! There's so many of them! I don't know what I should pick!

[Newt smiles.]

Is there perhaps any sort of companion you are looking for? Creature wise, that is.

Ooh, well... I'm not sure. They all look like wonderful Pokemon!

...And, I also just found myself with a whole lot more Pokemon, all of a sudden.

Some unexpected visitors?

[Since he doesn't realize that people tend to end up with the Pokemon others have left behind sometimes.]

Wow. Newt, petal, you've certainly increased the size of your clutch since I last contacted you.

[Petal.]

Ah, yes, I suppose I have. Though it was...it wasn't entirely intentional! It was something I thought about quite a bit but I having it happen on the road like this was not in the, em, plan. At all.

Well, you know nature. It doesn't care much for your intentions and plans. It seems like you're going to be nesting for awhile with so many.

How right you are, Pamela. On both accounts. [He smiles a bit sheepishly now.] I think my entire traveling party will enjoy the extended camping trip, though. Everyone has been exploring the route and seems to find it rather fascinating.

Well, I'm glad you're seeing the positiveness to this. After all, it's not as though this is a setback, simply a pleasant surprise. [She returns the smile with a much more confident one.] And what would route that be? Are you still in Kanto?

Indeed. A very pleasant one, actually.

[That smile though...Newt feels like a deer caught in the headlights as he swallows against a lump building in his throat.]

Ah--yes I--yes. Route 11, in Kanto, actually.

Oh. What a shame. That means I won't meet you for such a long time. [Her smile turns into a sly grin.]
