Yotsuba & Arrivals! [Action/Video, New Bark Town, July 11]

[ACTION]

[It's a new day in New Bark town, and the sun is shining on the eyes of one small girl who's trying to sleep. She waves her hand, flails more like, at the sun for a second before her eyes open, and then slowly and blearily opens her eyes, blinking the sleep away and looking around the strange room.

After a few fruitless minutes looking for her dad, Yotsuba is near tears. This is only helped by the friendly woman who says she's named mom and directs Yotsuba to start her journey, pointing her towards the old man in the center of town, who in turn welcomes her and helps her with the basics.

It's also helped by the delightfully large cicada she dubs Cicada-chan and begins to carry around. The people of the town insist it's hers and congratulate her on the start of her journey. They also call the bug a nincada.

Once Yotsuba receives her backpack, and pokegear, it's time to figure out how it works. Yotsuba can be found sitting in New Bark Town, fiddling with the pokegear. It's probably being held upside down.]

[VIDEO]

[The video starts shaky. And upside down. Soon enough though, the camera is righted and steadied, and Yotsuba starts grinning, even as the cicada-like pokemon perched on her shoulders starts to chew on one of her pigtails.]

Hello! It's Yotsuba's birthday!

[At least according to the pokegear it is. And she's 10? That's news to her. But she IS taller. Maybe she slept like in a fairy tale!]

The lady in the house said she was Yotsuba's mom, but Yotsuba doesn't have a mom. And daddy's not here.

[Yotsuba is deep in thought. With whom can she celebrate now?]

I think that women is called an NPC from what people have told me.

[ Oh no, this kid is just really cute and Maria understands only having one parent figure all to well. ]

Daddy is tall! And he's got dark hair! And sometimes he's boxerman on laundry day!

[ That's sorta hard to go off of, but Maria is determined to help. ]

The best thing to do right now is sit tight until someone finds them, if they're here then odds are they're looking for you. So staying in one place will make it easy for them.

[Yotsuba takes on a worried expression.]

But what if he's not here?

[ Maria didn't want to include that in the list of outcomes. ]

I'm sure he is here though, what sort of parents just leaves a child alone?

[Yotsuba doesn't want to consider it either, but then again.]

But Daddy always lets be go to the park on my own.

[Or to give out flowers, or to the neighbor's...]

Ahh well.. that is a bit different, the park is a safe place to go to.

This place is safe, but you need to be careful with wild pokemon that can show up if you go into the tall grass.

[She nods, but she doesn't really understand.]

What're wild pokemon doing in the tall grass?

Pokemon live in the tall grass and other areas since it's their home.

[ Best way to put it for now at least. ]

You would be angry if someone walked in to your house uninvited right?

Only if they were a bad guy.

[She walks into her neighbor's house uninvited all the time, after all.]
