[He'd read up on eevees. He'd done a lot of reading. He'd looked into all the different evolutions and had set his sights on trying to turn Gongaga into a Jolteon. It just seemed like a good route to go.

Cloud would have accomplished this were it not for the fact that his little eevee had grown extremely attached to him...and then learned a fairy move when it leveled up next.

Cue a slightly irritated blonde coming over the network holding a rather pleased looking Sylveon in the crook of one arm, the fairy-type's fleshy tendrils wrapped around Cloud's arm as it nuzzles against him.]

...I have a feeling this evolution is suppose to be cute but it's kind of unnerving.

[Gongaga chirps happily at him, peering up at him with absolute adoration in it's eyes.]

There's no way to change him back, is there?

[He knows the answer but a part of him is holding out hope, okay.]

Ah-hah...no, evolution is more like growing older than a transformation. And you get used to the, uh, ribbons after a while.

[Mostly out of necessity, but hey! An Eevee perched on Al's shoulder looks at at the camera, then chirps his own greeting to his brethren. Hello!]

I had a feeling that was the case. [Insert sigh here.] It wouldn't be so bad if he didn't keep touching me with them.

[Gongaga's ears perk at the chirp and he let's out one of his own, squirming around a bit in Cloud's arm. Hello friend!]

[Al laughs weakly in turn, shrugging the shoulder that isn't currently occupied.]

Yeah, it's...kind of weird. But for them it's a choice between using those or grabbing something with their mouth, so...

[Beryl's tail twitches back and forth happily, and one ear flicks. Congratulations on your evolution! You must be so excited!!]

Fair enough. It'll take some getting use to but I guess it could be worse.

[He's not entirely sure how but..it could be.

Gongaga chirps again, squirming some more until he can clamber up onto Cloud's shoulder awkwardly, back feet braced against his back as he waves his tendril about. Thank you, friend! He is! Will you get to evolve soon?]

It definitely could be, trust me.

[Stinky Phil is proof enough of that.]

[Soon, he hopes! Beryl is training and getting really strong, but he doesn't know what he wants to be yet! There's so many choices!]

..That's a bit foreboding.

[Stinky Phil? There's a story there, isn't there?

You can do it, Beryl! Gongaga believes in you! And whatever you pick will be the best choice for you!]

[Beryl squeaks and hides his face under a paw. Thank you, friend!]

[Al blinks and glances at his Eevee in confusion before chuckling and shrugging with his free shoulder.]

A housemate of mine has a, um. Unique standard for the Pokemon he keeps with him. Makes keeping the place clean something of a headache.

[They have to soak the hamster balls it runs around inside in bleach for THREE DAYS. There is a rotating cycle. It might literally be part Trubbish at this point.]

[Anytime, little friend!

Cloud can't help but let out an amused snort.]

I see.

[It was probably a good thing that he and Basch seemed to have similar tastes in Pokemon then.]

How unique are we talking?

Well...I'd definitely never seen a Ratatta missing so much of it's fur before. We've tried to get the poor thing cleaned up, but nothing seems to take.

And he bites, too. I had to get stitches!

[And a cocktail of vaccines.]

[That gets a sympathetic wince out of Cloud.]

That doesn't sound pleasant at all. You didn't get sick or anything because of it, did you?

No, we got it treated quick enough. We're, um. Pretty used to getting scraped up, eheh.

..It's common? With all pokemon or just certain ones? [A pause.] ...I have a feeling their natures come into play here, don't they?

Oh no, no, not from the Pokemon! Though we do have a few pretty foul-tempered ones around. It's just a very rowdy bunch in our house.

Oh.

[He's not sure if that makes it better or worse.]

Sounds like an..interesting place then.
