1st Bloom; [video/action for New Bark Town]

[The video begins with a nice shot of some grass. And then a few trees. There's a bit of quiet shuffling, then a voice.]

...ah. Here we are.

[The camera swings around to a very, very large man. He's pale, with blonde hair and beard and reddish eyes, wearing what looks like golden armor and a long purple cape. So basically he looks like some kind of stereotypical Viking king. Also there is a Sunkern chilling out in his beard. They're obviously still in New Bark Town, though he's wandered a little ways away from Mom's house. That encounter was extremely odd.]

Howdy! I am King Asgore Dreemurr. This...is the Internet, is it not? I confess I am not sure what is going on here, but if there are any other monsters about, please call me or send a text message. Whatever this is, I'm certain it will be all right.

Also, has anyone seen this young one's parents? [He indicates the Sunkern, who chirps.] I believe they are lost.

_{[Well, a monster-turned-human like everyone else, really, but the mouth full of sharp teeth on this little boy seem to support the claim.]}

[Asgore chuckles. Such enthusiasm! He's beginning to understand that "monsters" here may encompass some from outside his kingdom as well, but that hardly makes any difference, does it? He wasn't asking because he wanted to exert his power; he only wanted to look out for them, and he would do so for whoever needed it anyway.]

Oh, I see! And what is your name, little one?

_{[Wrath has had a complicated upbringing, but despite it all, he's arrived at the conclusion that being a monster is something he's pretty happy about. Given that he kind of looks like a Tim Burton character, that's probably not surprising.]}

I like yours as well. [ssssssort of? it's ominous, but far be it from him to suggest that] It's a pleasure to meet you, Wrath. Have you been in this place long?

Um, yes! I'm not very good at things with numbers. But it's been winter twice!

The humans here are much nicer than the ones where I came from. Even the humans from there get nicer when they come here!

That is good to hear. [He smiles slightly.] And if any should bother you, my kingdom's Human Ambassador just so happens to be present here as well. They have been quite helpful to us all.

Your kingdom has so few humans that you have to have an ambassador?

If anything, I daresay we have them because there are so few monsters. We have been...away from human civilization for a very long time. Having another human make introductions made them all much more comfortable with us.

I wish I could've been away from human civilization.

<sub>[That's not as true as he wants to think it is-- he'd spent eight years locked away from ANY civilization, and then emerged onto a deserted island when he finally escaped from that. Being able to find good company and be accepted is what any Homunculus like him craves, at their core.]

The humans where I come from are terrible. I suppose if you're good enough at pretending to be one, they probably would treat you okay. But if they can tell you're a monster, they'll hurt you even if you haven't done anything wrong.

I wasn't very good at pretending.

...I see. I am sorry you had to go through that. There was a time when my people had to fight with humans as well, but that was very long ago now.
