Video(ish)-- Ecruteak Inn, Birthday Bash!
[The moment the video clicked on, Angel let out a sigh. A small hand lifted, pinching the bridge of her nose, before lowering once more, settling onto the back of a new face-- a Glameow. Finally, she offered the device a thin smile.]
I had a plan to offer a sentimental message about growing older, but it seems I was preempted. [She laughed, but it came without humor.] What you heard was correct, today is my birthday.
[A pair of feelers announced the approach of 'Dora, the sylveon, who wrapped his appendages around her in a gesture of comfort.]
It also would appear that I've been here six months now. It's a lot to consider -- celebrating my first birthday on my own, six months after I broke free from my father. To be honest, it's the first time I've recognized it in almost a decade.
It's... a big deal.
[One final sigh, before a smile broke through. It was perhaps a little sad, but still genuine.]
My door will be open today, for anyone who might want to stop by. You can meet my new friend, Princess Smoosherella. [The cat mewled a greeting.] We can all get ice cream together!
[[Right here's the catch-all I've been promising! Feel free to put anything you need in here, in-person or otherwise! Angel's still at the Ecruteak in for a few days longer.]]

the ashers on wtf is borderlands' timeline even
Oh.
Wow.
Depending on which calendar you use or who you ask, I'm from... 2875, I believe it was? Others might tell you a number somewhere in the 5000s. It's... a bit confusing, managing several galaxies worth of calendar system.

There absolutely is, but there is typically a large difference between when a planet begins and when its people become civilized enough to start keeping track of the passing of the days.
My point is that with so many different societies that have developed at different times, it's hard to keep track of the exact date. Some planets have only been keeping track for 2000 years here. More widespread galaxies and its governing bodies have kept track for over 5000.
It's hard to establish a standard.

is one of those standards earths gregorian calendar because thats my easiest frame of reference
not that it has any meaning any more since time doesnt mean anything any more but im trying to feel the scale of exactly how tragically behind i am compared to you

Perhaps it would be ill-advised for me to say this but... Earth has not been mentioned in a great many years. Enough so that I couldn't say which calendar might have evolved from the Gregorian iteration that you speak of.

where do yall live now? if not earth

I lived in a space station for many years, then in a... rather depressing chamber for a few more. Before that? I'm not sure.
But the bulk of humanity has spread out across a collection of six different galaxies. I could name planets, but we'd be here for hours if I tried.

thats pretty neat
the multiple galaxies thing not the sad trapped junk
never thought people would actually get that sci fi space travel expansionist shit off the ground
i mean they sure didnt get a chance to in my time

I would say that hopefully they will find a way to implement such a thing here, since you were not able to see it in your world but...
Do they even have spacefaring abilities here? What about space pokemon?

clefairy and carbink and stuff
we were there for prom last year it was dope

You were.

You're pulling my finger? Laughing at my expense?

both regions got all glitchy and weird and i temporarily turned back into a four year old for a couple days and i forget what all else happened but in the end we had a dance party on the moon
some of the rooms had earth gravity and some didnt
it was awesome

That's...
Hard to believe.
But then, none of this is easy to believe and you have no reason to lie to me.
Maybe it will happen again? It might be fine to dance on the moon.

fun for all ages and kinda romantic looking out at the planetrise on the horizon

It sounds wonderful...
In any case, I hope to see this "prom" in some capacity at some point.

Well. Here is hoping then.
