Mission 1 [Video; Route 29]

[As the video starts, you can see a 12-years-old boy wearing a blue jacket, yellow long-sleeved shirt, blue pants, and yellow sneakers walking down the road on Route 29. However, he is not alone as a lavender bat-like Pokemon perches on his head while he stares at the camera for a few seconds before speaking up.]

So hi? I'm new here and I'm just testing out this PokeGear thing. Nothing's wrong with it so far and...

[Before he can say anything, his Pokemon quickly appeared on the screen and greeted on camera before he pushes him away.]

Hey, Noise! Knock it off! I'm talking here!

[He tries to push his Noibat away from the screen, which thankfully, gets an idea and goes off-screen.]

As I was saying, I think I understand that I'm trapped in another world filled with these Pokemon creatures and I'm supposed to capture and train them?! I can't believe this!! It's... It's...

[At first, you seemed to see him about to blow a casket, which is obvious for a young kid like him being kidnapped into another world without any warning. But instead, he gives out a big grin, causing his Noibat to fly off from his head in shock.]

IT'S COMPLETELY AWESOME!!! I can't believe I get to train these cool and strong Pokemon monsters!

[Well, he got grounded and was forced opt-out on a WOOHP mission beforehand, so it is obvious for him to react this way. Even he doesn't have any WOOHP gadgets anymore, he doesn't care because of his current situation.]

Not only that, my wish of having a pet came true!

[Noise then screeched in agreement, happy that his new trainer likes him.]

Well, I don't know what to do next, but I bet it's going to be amazing! Come on, Noise!

[Without even saying goodbye, he turns off the video before he takes off with his new partner. Of course, if you like, you can see running on the road of Route 29, grinning on what he can expect in this new world.]

There's also the added bonus of travelling all over the region if you want too, to find and train stronger Pokemon.

With enough Pokemon trained to a strong enough level, you can challenge the gyms one by one, for badges. And eventually challenge the Elite Four.

It's not that kind of Gym. A Pokemon League Gym is a battle arena, where you challenge one of the top trainers in the region for a Badge, a sort of mark that allows you to use new abilities once you earn it with your Pokemon, via Teaching Machines or TMs, or even Hidden Machines HMs.

Also, if you don't challenge the gyms and keep battling, eventually your Pokemon might become disobedient after a certain level because you haven't earned the right.

Pretty much. It's procedural. Your first stop in Johto is Faulkner in Violet City, and the first stop in Kanto is Brock in Pewter City. I've heard people tend to challenge either or but you gotta commit to a route first.

I'm just exploring to be honest.

That's the usual direction people go, so I would definitely aim for Violet City. You'll need more than your first partner Pokemon to take on the gym though.

I honestly don't know, but there'll be a marking on the front of the Gym. It's always a huge building too. Sorry, I'm not exactly challenging gyms so I couldn't honestly tell.

[Yayoi is a bit useless, considering she's just doing a tour of the region without battling heavily.]

Yeah. You'll just have to find out for yourself. Everyone else knows what kind of gyms there are here as well, I'm just a little behind.

That's true. I know the gyms are themed after all.

Oh, you have a Noibat? It's nocturnal, so it'll snooze during the day.

You might have to go in the evening. You can find a lot of different Pokemon during the different times of day.

You might be able to get him or her to battle during the day, it would probably take training though.

I would suggest waking it gently earlier and earlier every day, swap its sleeping schedule around gently. And then practice earlier in the day.

Yeah, it works out if you're trying. And it's Yayoi Kise. Nice to meet you.
