[It's late, very late in fact, on this friday night. But it's not late enough that someone won't be posting on their pokegear.

In this instance, Rakka has decided to be that person by making a text; short and sweet, though it has the inclusion of a small video clip.

The clip is of the night sky, snow falling lightly through the air, not as much as it had the past few days. The stars are shining brightly tonight, but they are simply outmatched by the aurora borealis stretching across the sky as far as the screen, and Rakka, can see.]

This is so much better then the cats and snow monsters.

Well, I have been here for over a year now... [Longest vacation she's had since... ever, as a matter of fact.

It's very nice, especially in the spring time. Last year, I spent a lot of time thinking about it.

That's not surprising, if you'd just arrived. I can assure you that thoughts of home remain common and pleasant even after over half a decade, especially during holidays and anniversaries.

Anniversaries? [Her mind drifts. Heh, it seems like so long ago that she had celebrated her own birthday- and even before that, before all this when she was getting ready to prep her home for spring cleaning. And there was such good news too...

Sorry, um. Actually, I just celebrated an anniversary! Which was also my birthday.

It was the anniversary of the day I showed up here! [And now, she can say that with a smile.] It was a year ago, and, since I don't really know when my birthday is, I made it be the same day!

That's as good a day as any, if you ask me. Unless receiving combined anniversary and birthday gifts might become an issue, but I've... never heard of a Johto anniversary being celebrated with presents, actually.
