Well...I got to Violet City, and...what I want to say was the entire city population of Murkrow mugged me for my Pokégear because it's golden. So they took it all over so I was chasing them down without network access for...about a week? They hot-potato'd it until I chased a couple out towards the Ruins of Alph, which was just...really stupid. Chasing birds and doing borderline geurilla warfare to keep them nearby for two weeks in the woods. We finally chased them into the Alph Ruins, but wound up stuck in the puzzle rooms for...a couple days each, the second one aside. I mean, we cornered the Murkrow which had my Pokégear, but the battery was so long dead it didn't matter that I had it. Reggie kind of helped. A little. Sort of....

[He frowns and rubs his face as he gets to the next part. And just. Pauses. for a minute.] I was stuck in the water room for...at least three days? Maybe a week? It. The River King knocked out Pierre, and I didn't have enough water, and what I had he splashed out of the thing, and...it was just. So stupid

Ah, that does sound like quite the misadventure. Did you at least find some worthwhile treasures in the ruins, while you were there?

A few, but nothing too noteworthy. Had to eat the berries as we found them, and I'm not exactly hurting for money. The real reward was throwing the Magikarp into the Box while he was knocked out. Because, ah...Well, most of my Pokéare cats, and he is a large fish, and we were really hungry...

And Reggie may have just. Sparked him for an hour and a half. You can't really get close with that move, and Bel just...kind of let it happen. Nobody was happy with His Uselessness.

So Team Rocket, huh? That's kind of an elaborate plan...what were they even after?

Beyond simply attempting to steal pokemon, I'm not entirely certain, though part of it involved keeping a legendary pokemon trapped. Naturally we freed it once team rocket had fled.

....All that for little more than grand larceny? Well, no, more like kidnapping. Why even? Are they lazy, or just... [Don't say mongrel, don't say 'mongrels,' don't say 'mongrels']

Perhaps they expected to be far more successful than they were. Or there were other plans we were unaware of. It's hard to say, though simply and overly grand theft would certainly suit their style, but...

It's...an old habit. If I get mad the only real insult that comes to mind is 'mongrels.' It's kind of embarrassing, I had a habit of saying it...all the time.

[Or using it as a base address of....anybody, more or less, because being an entitled high born asshole is kind of his adult self's default state.]

You'd think. It's...a little convoluted, admittedly. I'll say that it's nice to just live an average kind of life, magical animals included.

Yeah, you missed Team Rocket making a mess of prom. The jerks attacked right in the middle, it was a whole big thing. I didn't see much of it, I was outside when shit went down, but man it sounds like it was one hell of a fight!
