Eleventh Sacrament: Eggs

[ The feed comes on and it's Walter again! This time he's at home, looking both uncomfortable and completely done with something. Around him are a large collection of his Pokemon; a Natu and Dartrix are perched by his head on the sofa-back, a Weavile is curled up on his lap and beside him on the sofa is a Mimikyu. A Phantump floats beside the Mimikyu and a Luxray is sat by his feet. None of them seem too concerned; the Dartrix in particular looks very prideful actually and the Phantump and Mimikyu are giggling to each other. He sighed deeply, sitting up straight. ]

Hello. My name is Walter Sullivan. I have been traveling recently and left my Pokemon at home, rather than putting them in the computer boxes. In my absence they...entertained themselves. And now I have several eggs to sell. The Pokemon around me are the parents. If you're interested, message me. I will be selling each egg for 500P and there are sixteen eggs for sale.

[Jean watches the Phantump's little game, and how he's trying to cheer up his trainer, and that makes him smile a little.]

I'm sorry about your friend. That wouldn't be so bad, though, would it? Getting to come back as a Pokemon. It would be... pretty nice.

[Spookycheeks is delighted to have a new friend, and is completely ignoring the conversation. Blah blah, something about dead kids, whatever. Bea's trainer is a ghost too? 2spoopy! She shivers with delight at the idea and pointedly pokes Jean in the neck: nope, no ghost here. Definitely solid and alive. But for a meatbag, he's pretty good.]

Pokemon are better than people. It would be nice. [ Although humans hurt Pokemon. Walter was...more than familiar with Team Rocket's inner workings. At his side, Bob grinned and gave his shoulder a hug, helping Walter relax more. He gave Jean a considering look ]

Do you promise to be kind to it? I want that for all of these eggs but...for the Phantumps, it's. It's important.

[ Bea giggled, ears flopping around. Meatbags can be okay! When they provide delicious food...her trainer was SUPER SPOOKY though! It's great! He even turned other people into ghosts back in his world, and then they had to do what he told them to. He was like...a Ghost King!! ]

Yeah, they are. [No argument from Jean. He saw what Team Rocket did to those Electrodes, he knows that humans are shit.]

Of course I will. [Jean could sound offended, but really, he just sounds tired.] I... I know enough people who would like to come back as one to not be kind to it.

[Jean isn't religious, but this is a kind of reincarnation he could get behind.]

[Spookycheeks is very interested in this revelation about Walter, and leans in closer to the communicator, taking it all in. How did he turn other people into ghosts? That sounds very complicated! Spookycheeks would like to turn Pikachus into ghosts, does Bea and her spooky trainer have any tips for that?]

[ Bea giggled and whispered to Spookycheeks. It's all in a ritual. It's a ritual that's very Secret and Sacred and is very complicated. He hasn't done it here because he likes Johto. If he didn't like Johto, then it'd be Very Different! ]

[Walter smiled to Jean; a very small, careful smile but a smile nonetheless. ]

Tell me your name and where you are. I'll send the egg to you electronically this evening.

[As cool as it would be to see people turned into ghosts, Spookycheeks is glad that Walter hasn't done the ritual. Too many ghosts would mean they wouldn't be scary anymore, and now that she has a trainer and some friends, she's not as lonely anymore and doesn't mind being scary.]

[Jean smiles back, and reaches up to pat the Mimikyu on his shoulder.]

I'm Jean Kirschstein, and I'm in Vermillion City right now. Thank you, uh... Mr. Sullivan. I promise I'll take good care of the Phantump and be kind to it. Spookycheeks here will help me.

[ And that's okay! It makes her trainer all the more spooky. She hopes Spookycheeks and the Phantump become good friends, like how she and Bob are friends! ]

Good. It was nice to talk to you and Spookycheeks. [ Bob and Bea eagerly agreed, waving to them. Bea added that they should show them a picture of the Phantump when it hatches! ]

[Spookycheeks nods in vigorous agreement. She will definitely be friends with the Phantump! Ghosts gotta stick together, after all! And she will make sure Dumb Narrow sends a picture of the Phantump when it hatches.]

[Kind of a weird guy, but not bad. He seems more sad than anything else.]
