Eleventh Sacrament: Eggs

[ The feed comes on and it's Walter again! This time he's at home, looking both uncomfortable and completely done with something. Around him are a large collection of his Pokemon; a Natu and Dartrix are perched by his head on the sofa-back, a Weavile is curled up on his lap and beside him on the sofa is a Mimikyu. A Phantump floats beside the Mimikyu and a Luxray is sat by his feet. None of them seem too concerned; the Dartrix in particular looks very prideful actually and the Phantump and Mimikyu are giggling to each other. He sighed deeply, sitting up straight. ]

Hello. My name is Walter Sullivan. I have been traveling recently and left my Pokemon at home, rather than putting them in the computer boxes. In my absence they...entertained themselves. And now I have several eggs to sell. The Pokemon around me are the parents. If you're interested, message me. I will be selling each egg for 500P and there are sixteen eggs for sale.

[Woah, that's alot of birds. Strut gives a cautious call of greeting at the murder on screen.]

You seem pretty cool with it though.

A hundred? That seems a little excessive. Can they really have that many?

[ Darkness looked immensely proud of his flock. Said flock clammers for attention, from Darkness (who preens some of their feathers and chatters tot hem) or Walter, who pet the ones who demanded his attention. And he was very calm with it. He had liked ravens and crows before his death. He had even decorated his corpse with raven feathers. Having a flock of them that responded to him and were friendly; it was actually very soothing to him. ]

Darkness would only need to repeat this- [ He gestured to the brids around him ] eight more times to have a flock of one hundred. It seems- and is excessive. But it is what they're famous for. And a Honchkrow acts as their leader.

Really? They're famous for making babies? I didn't know that.

[She looks accusingly at Strut.]

Why didn't you tell me?

Die! Die!

Not for having children. For having subordinates. For Darkness, it just happens that he has children to act as his followers.

[ Darkness snickered at Diana's pouting. ]
Secret.

[ And then the birds all around Walter began to join in, some squawking, some whispering. ]

Shhhh-!
SECRET!

Children for followers, huh? Kind of culty...

[Now Strut and Pro are chiming in. Hex plays no part thankyou.]

[Pro is not yet a master at impersonations yet.]

Stop trying to act like one of the cool kids, you two.

[ ...She says to the man WHO WAS RAISED BY A CULT. Walter just vaguely hummed. But it didn't escape Darkness' notice. He pressed his beak against Walter's cheek in a soothing motion, murmuring to him. ]

Not like that. No. [ He responded to Darkness, lifting a hand to pet him and sighing. The child bobbed curiously, hopping about him and on him. They began to join in. ]
No no! No no no! [ He turned to the camera again.</small. ] You get used to the chatter.

How do you go anywhere with all that?

They manage themselves for the most part. But when I need them or if Darkness wants me to train them, they will come. [ Ah, the benefits of a Honchkrow. ]

Wait, so you have to train all of them?

No. They require little instruction in using their skills.

So why does Darkness want you to train them?

[11121_assumption]

To ensure the strength of the flock. [ Darkness nodded, speaking to Diana personally. ]

Once small. Walter train. Strong. [ He puffed out his chest proudly. He had once been but a little Murkrow. Under Walter's guidance, he had become what he was now. ]

[Diana smiles at him.]

Aww, aren't you adorable?

[ Darkness immediately shook himself with a 'hmph!' gesture. He is not adorable. He is many things but anything along the lines of 'cute', he most certainly was not! Walter smiled, trying to hide his amusement. ]

He doesn't approve of that.

Is he pouting now? How cute.

[ Darkness outright hissed at that, feathers puffing up. ]

No! [ And then the Murkrows all joined in. A chorus of squawking 'nos'. They learn so fast. ]

[Diana looks so amused.

Caine is not, however. He appears in shot to growl at the camera, Diana playfully shoves his giant head away.]

Sorry, I meant handsome, of course.

[ Oh. That's a Luxray. Walter glanced inside, checking that Chaos hadn't heard the growl of another cat as Darkness narrowed his eyes at Caine. He nodded approvingly of the handsome comment however, still evidently a little riled up by it. ]

Good.

[Caine can be heard grumbling in the background. He looks like a fat load of feathers to me.

Caine. Don't start. Comes the low hiss of a Salazzle.

Diana's ignoring the two of them, mostly because she doesn't understand them.]

Are all his kids as image obsessed?

I see all Luxrays are the same. How the species has remained alive is a mystery that is as enigmatic and deep as the void of my care about it.

[ ...When speaking his own 'Pokemon' language, Darkness was far more eloquent than when speaking human. The Honchkrow turned his attention back to his children, grooming one with a few unruly feathers. Walter stroked one's beak. ]

His partner insists on wearing glitter and they all have an interest in things that shine. I would be more surprised if they were not somewhat vain.

Probably because we don't hide behind flocks of our own children.

Yeh, Strut likes to collect stuff. I let him keep it since it makes it happy.

If you wish to battle, then face me directly. As is, your petty hissing is a waste of our time and words.

[ Walter simply nodded. Weren't they discussing something entirely different before they ended up talking about Murkrows? Regardless, he was keeping an eye in the house. Chaos had come outside to stretch her claws. ]

[Sass finds that 'hissing' statement offensive and she makes a low noise of warning.

Caine, meanwhile, growls loudly, spooking Diana.]

Caine, the hell?

I'll happily zap you from the sky until you're nothing but gristle and feathers old man!

[ Oh. Chaos certainly heard that. She prowled over and the Murkrows took to the sky, retreating to a nearby tree. Darkness stood his ground as the large Luxray prowled beside Walter, her tail swishing dangerously. She gave a low rumble, like thunder, standing over Walter's shoulder.

Walter exhaled deeply. He didn't want to have to deal with Chaos' aggression right now. ]

We should end this call.

[Caine appears onscreen again to investigate the rumbling and bares his teeth at the other Luxray.]

Got places to be, Walt?

[She's trying to shove Caine's massive head out of frame again but he refuses to move.]

Caine, fuck off, I'm on the phone.
