10th Recipe [Video, Goldenrod City]
So, um...there seems to be a LOT of eggs happening lately. And...I need some advice. On egg-happenings.
[That's an ominous way to start a post, but thankfully the concerned shot of Jane's face does not shift to a mountain of eggs. Instead, if the viewer looks behind her, they'll see the ocean-y outskirts of Goldenrod, where a Primarina lounges, her mermaid's tail submerged while her upper body is perched on the ground as she giggles at the rings of Mystical Fire being created by a shiny Delphox. When he manages to hold a ring for long enough, she sends out a bubble, and holds a note to keep it in place before letting it burst, sending out sparkling droplets and steam.
Sure, it could just be two Pokemon working on a routine together. But it's also full of a LOT of almost coy laughter.]
I think two of my Pokemon are...flirting. I mean. Well...I know August has been a little smitten with Madeline for some time now, it's been really obvious, but I didn't think he'd do anything? But she's just recently gotten to the limit of her levels, and the more I take them out to train or battle, the more...stuff like this happens.
[Jane points behind her.]
I'm not opposed to a dynamic pair putting on a great show, but...can they even...make eggs, these two? How many would I have to worry about? I-I'm not a breeder, but if something happens, I...I should be prepared, right? I have seen what giant clutches look like on here, I'm not about to let any baby Pokemon happen needlessly or...ugh, I don't know! Please, if anyone knows if these two might actually surprise me one day, it'd be great if I got a warning - or if there's a guide I could look at? Anything?

[ Here comes a man with a lot of experience with Pokemon breeding and not by choice. Or the decision of whatever force pulled them here. ]
[Text]
So yours just looked at each other and decided to have trysts?
Hmmmmmm.
I don't know if mine will end up like that, considering how much they've been flirting.

I did not mention the Pokemon of mine who has been actively seeing another, as your two seem to be. He has recently introduced me to twelve of his children. He waited until the eggs had hatched to show them to me.
Keep a close eye on them.

I'm going to keep my eyes very closely peeled, thank you for the warning.
TWELVE babies? Holy cow...

[PLEASE NO SURPRISE EGGS, GUYS.]
Isn't there a breeding center somewhere? Maybe you could contact them and ask!
[She loves her breeder friends but they can't tell her everything about Poke-Eggs.]
Hm...there must be some books on it, at least.
[The most he knows about eggs is that he's gotten one since his arrival and he carried it around until it hatched. The end.]
I wouldn't doubt it. There seem to be a lot of researchers in some of the towns so someone has to have written a book or something about it.

...W-What's the first one called? The blue and white one-- I think I've seen pictures of the bigger fox in one of my breeding books, but I never saw any mention of them being able to, uh... have eggs with any water-types.
[Even his Arcanine is pretty limited to that. He's pretty sure a Spheal and it's evolutions are the only ones that could.]
That's Madeline - she started as a Popplio, then evolved into a Brionne, and now she's a Primarina. [She breathes a small sigh of relief.] I certainly don't know how they'd get up to anything with the element clash, but I'm not about to count anything out. My pink rabbit toddler drags around my metal sentinel like he's a henpecked boyfriend, but since he doesn't reciprocate, I'm not too worried about those two. Still, I don't want the drop to be completely gotten on me.
[These two? FLIRTING LIKE FLIRTY FLIRTS.]
[why yes he's read about Skitties and Wailords, and that's about as far as he wants to think about that one
not that he actually knows whether Delphox and Primarina are in the same egg group, he should really page through this year's edition of Breeding For Dummies one of these days huh, but either way this is making him glad that the ones he has from those lines are both male]
Ahh, if you're not a breeder, though, you won't have to worry about quite as many eggs. When Sion's team has clutches without getting any of mine involved, they tend to get about half as many eggs as my team does.
[small comforts when it's multiplied across the ENTIRE MENAGERIE, but]

[Though the lack of EGG MULTITUDES is somewhat of a relief.]

[Cecil's tone has the flatness of a man who is also not a breeder and should not have to deal with any of that.]

...Oh...dearie me. Hoo boy.
[She looks behind her, biting her lip.] I...should get a book on this stuff just in case.

I'm no breeder, so I can't offer any advice, but if it helps any... my sister and I own a Gardevoir and a Gallade who are very smitten with each other. in the years we've had them, they only ever produced one clutch of eggs. So despite how... sappy they seem, it might not be too much to worry about.
no subject
[That's actually...kind of a relief. Like Pokemon practicing safe...hugging techniques.]
I'm going to hope that's the case and that they act responsibly. Or...should I give them the talk? They'd understand a talk like that, wouldn't they? August is a Psychic type, so if either of them has questions, he'll tell me...
no subject
[They've had ample opportunity to produce more eggs, and yet... nothing. That's a good sign, right?]
... Do pokemon know about... erm. That already? [Oh geez this is getting just a tad awkward...] As intelligent as they are, they're still animals. That sort of thing is... instinctual, isn't it?

I do know I'm really worried about finding my pair of Pikas got busy while I was at the store or something, though.
Your guys sure are cute, though.
[That and she can't even manage her own love life, why put her in charge of the love lives of cute critters?]
But, thank you. I try my best to take good care of them and make sure all my Pokemon are on amiable terms with each other. It's not the easiest task.
Tell me about it! I don't even have that many, but it's like babysitting a bunch of hyper kids sometimes...

[There's some fumbling before the video switches to text.]
open comunication is the most important so jut talk with them about getting advanced warning
also even if they don't make eggs that is fine to!!!!!
