8th Run // Lu-chu Libre!

Hey so, do people have some quirky Pokemon out there that act a bit...different for their type? A bit odd? Cos I got a bit of an oddball and it got me wondering. [ Hey network, it's Ash! He has a bunch of his Pokemon out in the park today and is beaming lazily to the camera. Behind him, Danny is stretching and getting ready for something. ] I mean here, I'll show you guys what I mean; Shocktmau5, Spark and Slam!

[ A Pikachu popped out of his bag and faced Danny, clearly trying to ignore the camera. They did as asked; charging at Danny in a shower of sparks and striking him and, as he was shocked and held in place, spun around and returned with a slam. The Pikachu immediately then hid by Ash, ducking back into his bag to avoid the spotlight for long. ]

Okay, he's not the kooky one. But that's how a Pikachu normally fights, right? Well, watch this; An Tintreach, your turn! Spark and Slam!

[ A different Pikachu, this one female, stepped forward. She gave a fingergun to the camera and winked, before turning to Danny. Ash's other Pokemon came around, clearly keen to watch the little showboater as she waved to them, squeaking to them as she stepped into the 'ring'. Then she darted forward. She didn't cover herself in electricity - she punched Danny's side, knocking him off balance. Then, surrounding him in a cage of electricity, she tossed him backwards, slamming him into the ground in a lightning suplex! The watching Pokemon roared, some jumping up and cheering. An Tintreach punched the air with a cry, exciting the crowd further. She ran past Danny as he stood up, leaping off against a nearby tree and turning in the air. As she flew at Danny, she struck a perfect People's Elbow and collided with him, knocking him down again. The crowd went wild! Ash turned the camera back to himself, grinning. ]

So er...anyone else got Pokemon that do this shi-AH [ NOPE AN TINTREACH WASN'T HAVING THAT. She jumped onto his face, turning to the camera herself and giving a flex, squeaking boisterously. She's here for her fans, and to take on all challengers! ]

[Noct isn't even in the hotel room but he did forget his 'gear, giving Kitty and Crowe a chance to tune in and watch the show.

The Larvitar let's out a delighted, rumbling laugh, clapping her paws together. Beside her, Crowe roars her approve, the Tyrunt stomping her feet on the table they're perched on and shaking the whole thing in the process.

Visible behind them is Shepard who is clearly on babysitting duty, the Lycanroc snickering as her ears perk. Well doesn't that look like fun?]

[ An Tintreach took the Gear and, as Ash couldn't see or hear Noctis, he like her take it. He recognised the beginnings of her 'fanclub' and the idea made him laugh, so why not? She winked to them, sparks flying from her cheeks ]

"Hey fighters! You guys training hard too?"

[Kitty did her best to flex while she said it, striking a pose of her own because she wants to be just like Tintreach.

Beside her, Crowe blinks then attempts to pose as well but it's a little harder for her given how she's built.]

"Me too, me too!"

[ An Tintreach saw Crowe attempting to pose and shifted, lowering her head and pulling her ears back, giving them a grin. This one's for you Crowe! ]

"Great! Someday I wanna spar with you two, so we can all test each other's strength!"

[Crowe perked up a bit at the different pose and immediately copied it, tail swinging about as she stomped her feet.]

"Okay! Gotta get stronger then we can fight!"

"I wanna fight now!"

[Punching her fists together, Kitty put on her game face. She'll take on anyone!

Behind them, Shepard let out another snicker, folding her arms on the table.]

"She might give you a run for your money, An Tintreach!"

Good! I want fights that pushes all of us to the limit! What's the fun in an easy battle? [ And she didn't want to really super hurt or beat up on Kitty and Crowe. But she wasn't going to say that to them! The three of them were going to have a brawl for the ages! She folded her arms, grinning ]

Good 'cause I'm gonna make it real hard!

Me too, me too! Gonna be the best fighter!

[Shepard just snickered, reaching out to grab them both around the waists and haul them back so she could bear hug them, much to their dismay.]

Little fighters need to take a nap if they want to have energy for a fight though.

No naps! I don't wanna! [Kitty squirmed, glaring as she pushed at Shepard's face.] Naps are bad!

Fight the power! [ She thrust her tiny fists in the air in a rallying battle cry! Even though they were children but...well, she never said she was the 'good guy' in her performances! So of course she encouraged chaos and Bad Behaviour ]

Nap when YOU want to, not when people say to! Stay up all night! Eat all the candy!!

[Oh dear god what are you doing you crazy, Pikachu??

Crowe and Kitty both let out delighted noises and start to try to break free, the Tyrunt grabbing one of Shepard's ears in her mouth while Kitty kicks at her chest.]

All the candy!

Stay up forever!

[The commotion attracts the attention of a certain Stufful who clambers up onto the table, stomping all four of his paws on the table as he prepares to pounce.]

No sleep!

[And with a springy leap that looks like a panicked cat jumping out a window, Amicitia lunges at the group and sends them all to the floor.]

[ An Tintreach is both charismatic and a bit of an anarchist. Being paired with Ash...yeah that wasn't changing anytime soon. She cheered her approval, already a fan of Amicitia too! YOU LAND THAT BELLY FLOP FROM THE TOP ROPE! ]

YEAAAAH! Let no-one stop you from obtaining your heart's desires! Never let that storm blow out!!

[The sound of a scuffle can be heard from under the table before suddenly Shepard appears, Amicitia held by his scruff in her mouth while Kitty and Crowe are pinned under her arms.

See the look on her face, An Tintreach? You are in so much trouble when she sees you in person.]

[ Oh. Oh yeah, she might be in trouble.

...In for a penny, in for a pound. If she was in hot water, might as well make it boiling! ]

Kitty the Catastrophe! Crowe the Cruncher! The Flying Bear Press!! Keep up the fight, both in your bodies and in your hearts! And when we meet, the World will quake with our might!!

[ And then she shuts off the gear. BYE SHEPARD ]

*... well then!*

Showing off in general, or that specifically?

Like, fighting in different ways than they usually would! Pikachus aren't fighting types but she likes to act like she's a pro wrestler. [ He managed to pry An Tintreach off of him, letting her stand on his shoulder and hold onto his hair inside of shoving her butt in his face. ]

Ah. Well, you've already met Circinus. Of course he looks different too, but he's got such an even temper and--

[And what else we won't know because at that moment, Armin gets slugged on the arm by a black furry paw, making him hiss in pain and drop the gear. There is a bit of a scuffle, but the face that reappears is not Armin. Instead it is the round snout of a young Pancham, who is giving the gear a searching look and a pawing.

Hello, Nicollo heard about some wrestling pikachu.]

Oh yeah, I re- shit you okay?

[ An Tintreach's eyes practically lit up when she saw Nicollo. She stood up straight, grinning. ]

And who are you? You've got strength!

F-fine...

[Just wounded in his pride. And arm.

Nicollo squints at the gear, trying to look stern and less impressed than he is (and trying not to show he's pleased someone recognises his vast powers). He even crosses his stubby little paws in front of his chest, mimicing the move he's seen Magellan pull so often.]

I'm super strong, after all. Not as strong as my master though!

I take the panda is yours? And also you didn't tell me you had a fucking panda!

[ Dude Armin, pandas are super rare back home and you can get them here? That's wild! And this one is both kickass and adorable! But An Tintreach took the gear and let some sparks fly from her cheeks, grinning despite (or maybe because of) Nicollo's aloof attitude. ]

Then show me your master! I aim to fight with the best and show them my might!

I would've told you if I thought it was something you'd find remarkable. To be honest, I'm not even certain what a panda is.

I don't think you are in his league, but okay.

[Nicollo's aloof tough guy mask is certainly warring with his childlike excitement of getting to show off his master to this weird pikachu. He grabs the gear tightly under one paw, wandering over to Armin. And without even a second thought, he immediately goes for the pokeballs on his belt, ignoring his protests and slapping one of them. A beam of light shoots out, materialising a few feet away as a burly, impressive looking incineroar. And Magellan promptly turns the gear camera on him to capture the moment.]

That's my master!

[He's sounding properly starstruck, and every inch the small fanbear.]

They're really rare black and white bears back home. So rare they're nearly dying out. But er, they ain't as feisty as your one is.

[ An Tintreach didn't care about Nicollo's opinions of her abilities. Other people had told her she was weird and to stop fighting as she did. To focus on being 'the best Pikachu' she could be, as if the way she fought wasn't right. But she didn't let them stop her, and she'd finally found a trainer who let her fight her own way, and even encouraged it! So when she saw Magellan, she called out to him, pointing to him and placed one paw on her hip. ]

Hey! An Tíogair! This little guy tells me you're the top of your league, and I respect that. But listen - my name is An Tintreach! And I am going to fight every day so that when we meet, the two of us- no, the THREE of us, including him! [ She gestured to Nicollo! ] Can go toe-to-toe in a no-holds barred Battle Royale! I'm coming for you!

I'm not sure if that is necessarily a bad thing... [his bear is a bit too feisty.] Why are they dying out?

[Magellan twitches his whiskers, leaning close (real close, he may have been spending a little too much time around that Krieg fellow) to get a good look at this tiny rat chirping at him. Her words though. Her words impress him. She might be tiny, but she's got mettle. He thinks he can take her, she doesn't look like more of a challenge than Polo, but still, her spirit is good.

Which means...

Magellan makes a showy... show of leaning back so the camera can fully frame him again (though it is shaking a little in Nicollo's excited paws), huffing a bit of smoke, crossing his arms for a moment (it is mostly an excuse to flex his massive biceps, tripceps, and other assorted ceps) before flashing An Tintreach a thumbs up. Game on, little challenger. He'll be waiting.]

Dude...in my world, they're the most chill creatures. They only eat one kind of food, this plant called bamboo, and people keep taking it and cutting into it's territory for housing or farmland and shit. They're probably poached too - like, there are people who will hunt rare animals just to say they can, or to use it's bones and fur for shit.

[ Basically, people are arseholes.

An Tintreach drew herself up with Magellan leaned in, head tipped back defiantly. And when he gives her the thumbs up - accepting her challenge! - she grinned, letting sparks fly from her cheeks. She had to get Ash to train her now. No holding back, now slacking off! She spoke again. ]

And you! The student to this master! [ LISTEN UP NICOLLO ] I'm coming for you too! So if you don't want to let him down, you'll accept my challenge, and be ready!

Perhaps it would be better if they were a little more feisty then. [A beat.] Is there anything that's being done to stop people from poaching them?

[People are the biggest assholes. Also dolphins, but Armin has never seen one, so there.

At An's challenge, Nicollo was rushing to turn the gear back on himself, overconfident excitement on his little snout.]

You're on! I'm going to kick your butt!

[Ah. Not much humility in this one, huh? And the fact that Magellan reaches down to scruff the little pancham's head at those words, making him beam probably doesn't help.]

People try to protect their habitats and have set up like, breeding programs to try and keep em stable. But like...that's just one species. There's a ton more out there that need that help too.

[ An Tintreach grinned back. She wouldn't tease him about his happiness, that'd be rude. ] Good! I can't wait to see you two! We'll fight and train, and grow strong!
