[The footage cuts in during the middle of a conversation. It's Shiro and his Haunter, the former looking significantly more fatigued than he usually has while present in this world. But hey, he's vertical! In the background, his Skarmory and Kirlia are... apparently fighting over a bag of chips.]

Haunter's been trying to find out if there's a stronger version of hypnosis. [He glances at the ghost, who then pantomimes eating something. With dramatic flair.] ... And dream eater.

I've tried looking it up, but no luck yet. It's been pretty insistent that it needs to know, though. So we'd be grateful for anything.

... also we're heading back to Goldenrod now. I think I may have bailed on a few people back there. Sorry about that.

[Anything else he wants to say trails off in a yawn, and Haunter's emphatic attempts at miming "hypnosis".]

[Here's Jean, also looking pretty tired, with Spookycheeks perched on his shoulder. The Mimikyu is looking bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, and immediately starts purring and crooning when she sees Haunter. Which is good, because Shiro's yawn is contagious, and Jean has to yawn too before answering.]

Spooky says that Curse would probably work, but it wouldn't be fun for anyone.

About the same. I get little twinges now and then, but nothing that slows me down. [Another yawn.] Now I just can't sleep for shit.

I don't know if there are any stronger moves. You could give your Pokemon something to hold which boosts the power of that move though. That might count.

[Armin's got an inkling why Haunter is asking about this.]

They don't usually sell those, though if you are really lucky you can find them on the road sometimes. But in December, there is always a big market in Goldenrod where you can buy them.

[That's where he had bought the magnet he had gotten for Jean last year.

He shakes his head a little at Shiro's next question.]

It's all right. I'm just having a bit of trouble sleeping. It's nothing to be concerned about.

Are you specifically looking for something your friend there can learn? I believe there is a grass move that has a rather strong sleep effect--coincidentally named Sleep Powder, if my reading was correct.

[To be honest, Newt hasn't done a whole lot of research into battle-based movesets; he just knows what a lot of his current companions can learn.

As he mulls it over a moment more his vest squirms and a head pops out over the top of it, his Eevee--Poly--yawning as her ears flick.]

I believe there is something called Lovely Kiss as well, but I'm afraid I am not all that familiar with that one in particular.

Hm, yes, that's fair. I..is it safe to assume that you are looking for something your Haunter can use on you? Given your, em, reaction...to my second suggestion.

[If that is the case he really apologies for that but you asked and it popped into his head!

Please don't go around kissing Pokemon though. There's no need for that.]

You may have to look into asking a psychic type for help. I'm not sure there is anything outside of the moves Haunter and it's other evolutions can use.

Pretty much, yeah. Haunter started helping out with its Hypnosis right when it figured out how the move worked. It's been a lifesaver.

[Haunter has been a lifesaver. He probably would have cracked a while ago, if it weren't for the ghost.]

I don't have one of those yet. I'll keep an eye out on the way back to Goldenrod.

Then he waits - impatiently, but quietly - to hear Shiro's reply to the information he just shared.]

You're thinking, if Haunter evolves, it won't need to learn a new move. It'll be stronger by default.
