So I know this is kinda a weird thing to be asking about heading into winter, but...

Anybody know about gardening? Like serious gardening. 'Cause I've been working with my little herb garden and veggie boxes, but I wanna take it to the next level. I always liked growing stuff, and I got a great yard. Lotsa room and stuff. And I figure I could start growing stuff for my Pokemon, too. I ain't tried that yet.

I really wanna build a greenhouse, but that'll wait till spring, 'cause you can't really build in the winter, can you? Not really good anyway, the ground gets too hard. I'm no carpenter or nothing but I think that's right.

But I figure I can learn stuff over the winter, and be all set when spring comes! I ain't too much of a reader, but they got videos and stuff, right?

Well, I know there's more to it than putting seeds in a pot and watering'em till they get big. That I can do! But I check out the gardening supply places and there's all kinds of shit for soil and to help stuff grow and how much sunlight stuff oughtta get to get the best fruit....

All kindsa stuff, really. Vegetables and berries and stuff, mostly.

I am. I had to start a new garden outside the city to finally see it grow.

[Had to give up on the vegetables, too. Too many dead tomato plants.]

A garden mostly for sustenance, then. May I recommend carrots? They keep particularly well, and I know their seeds are easily available in the local stores.

Yeah, they're pretty easy to grow! A lotta my Pokemon ended up eating'em, though!

I always wanted my own little farm. But guys like me don't get anything, back where I come from. Here? I can do anything I wanna, so I'm gonna get my little farm.

But I gotta start small. I ain't no farmer yet.

Start with something easy I guess. Maybe something Pokemon can help with. Like a water type or whatever.

Sounds like you come from a pretty good world. I couldn't even eat at a restaurant or be on the streets after dark.

Yeah, I done some basic stuff already, a coupla easy veggies and some flowers. And my Pokemon always help, we do all kinds of stuff together.

Well, we got crime too if that's what you're worried about. And some years ago some discrimi--well, lets be real, it still happens.

Anyway, that's good. I heard tomatos are stupid easy, but I've never really grown anything.

No, I mean a guy like me, who was born kinda different than most people, isn't legally allowed to do that stuff where I come from.

I only grown some stuff, had real nice peppers last year. But I wanna expand my options, ya know? I know it ain't much of a dream, but it's mine. Everybody dreamed big, none of the little stuff'd get done.
