A Merry Belated Christmas - Video
I hope everyone's had a good Christmas or whatever you celebrate! I got a present from home apparently, along with my Pokemon who got a bunch of treats.
[She held up a boxed collection of Blurays with a grin.] I got my Sunman collection Box Set back! Anyone want to binge on Tokusatsu is welcome to come over to my apartment in Goldenrod and watch with me.
I even have the crossover, Sunman vs Donshine, the crossover between Toei and Tsuburaya that happened a while ago. I'll explain the plot if you need it, but c'mon, come and have some fun!
Oh, and just so everyone knows, I got my third Badge! I decided to challenge the gyms in order, and I defeated Whitney on the 26th.

I have to ask, what is Sunman exactly? It sounds entertaining if nothing else but I can't say I'm familiar with it.
Re: [Video]
Ah, Sunman, or rather Super Electric Shine Sunman is a live action special effects show, based around the adventures of Shinjiro, a man who was augmented with the power of the Sun to become a hero of justice. He earned his power from a magic stone that fell to earth, and he crafted it into a buckle around his waist.
Both he and Donshine are superheroes, who are just passing through, doing right by everyone. It's really entertaining.

That does sound like something that would be hilarious to watch. And it's all live action? I have to imagine that makes it a little ridiculous to watch, too.
Re: [Video]
It's all live action, which means guys in rubber suits portraying monsters and stuff too. It's really super entertaining and one of my favorites.

I may have to take you up on the offer of coming to watch it sometime. I feel like this may be something you have to see to believe.
Re: [Video]
Please do, I love watching this stuff with people. It makes it a lot more entertaining.

[She thought it a bit odd when all her friends woke up with something... including her.]
But, um, what is a Tokusatsu?
Re: [video]
Tokusatsu isn't a thing, it's a genre of entertainment. It's Japanese for Special Effects Show.

["Japanese"?]
Re: [video]
The series I have is made in my home country, and is where the genre basically started.

Wow, that sounds... amazing! It must be a pretty exciting show then.

[To be fair, Yayoi was throwing around a lot of terms.]
