[A Fennekin could be seen sitting in someone's lap. She uses one red paw to poke and prod the gear to get it into a good position.
Credence was in frame but clearly not feeling great. He was leaning his head against his hand, fingers curling in his hair as he is forcing himself to breathe slowly.
The little fox turns her head, yipping at him to get hid attention.
He startles then looks into the gear.]
Oh.. Is it worming..? Did you get it? Okay.. Um.. I'm..not sure what's going on or how I got here..I think it was Mr. Graves, I don't know.. I don't know anything going on, I'm just..
[Tina prods him with her paw to stop that line of thought.]
Um.. anyway..I'm here now. I'm here. Tina is.. taking me to the next town over. She knows what to do.. I'm glad I'm not alone..

[The kind who are weirdly chill and calm about it, the kind who completely flip out and start screaming and breaking things... and then the ones who are sort of in the middle, like this poor guy.]
Hey, your Fennekin's got it figured out.
Trust her, okay?
She's there to make sure you get there safely.
Re: [Video]
[He pets her head gently. She pressed her head up into the touch. She would definitely keep Credence safe and on track!]

You're lucky to have her-- showing up here in the middle of winter sucks, but a Fire-type starter will make it a hell of a lot easier to keep warm!
[She's, uh. Trying to stick on the bright side here, because this dude literally looks depressed.]

[ He remembered the woman trying to tell him some of this and this weird device too but lets be honest, he didn't quite understand any of it. And was only hearing the blood rushing in his ears when they were all talking at him. ]
I don't really know what that means... I'm sorry, I'll.. figure it out, I'm sorry.

[Maybe a few years ago, she'd have been more impatient with frazzled newbies, but she's had a long time to settle in to this world.]
Fire-type means she can breathe fire. Like a dragon, y'know?
[Ironically she has no idea he's from a place where dragons are REAL, it's just the easiest example of a fire-breathing animal that she can think of.]

Oh... I've never.. .. seen an animal breathe fire before...
[ He wasn't sure he wanted to test this theory. Tina at least wasn't jumping to show him. ]
I don't... know what to do. I just was told to start walking.. and I don't know why...

The direction you probably were pointed in is towards a town called Cherrygrove-- there's food and beds there.
But it's a long walk, which is why it's best to start as soon as possible.
You'll, uh.
Probably need to take rest stops. Which is where having a pet that can make fires for you will come in handy.

[ He felt dizzy again. Tina was quick to lift her head and nuzzle against his face. Things would be okay! The nice girl said things would be okay because they would be and Tina was there, see? ]
I should.. I should get going then.. before I fall more behind...

[There's not really a pleasant way to break that news in the winter. Even the comparatively short couple-day walk from New Bark to Cherrygrove is imposing when snow is on the ground.]
Just remember, Tina's gonna help you stay warm.
And there should be a little food in your backpack. And a sleeping bag, I think...?
[She's pretty sure she had one when she got here... although that was friggin' years ago.]

[ Credence could at least have faith in Tina if not himself. Because he had zero faith in himself. He just.. needed to keep forging forward and eventually, he would find Mr. Graves and things would get resolved. Definitely. ]
Okay.. and I can just. turn this on to ask for help..?

Even in the middle of the night there's usually someone around on these things.

[ He didn't sound like he believed it, most likely because he didnt' really. How could he be certain there would actually be support out there? He hardly had any back home so it would surely be similar here.
He would have to go by faith for the time being.]
Thank you.. I will try to ... meet up with the man who said he nkows me and we'll see from there I suppose...

Good. Having someone here who already knows you is pretty handy when you first get here.
Anyway... name's Heather, by the way.

[ His voice was soft, eyes cast downwards. Was it a good thing if he was known but the other person was a stranger to him? He would have to hope Scamander didn't mean him any harm. ]
Oh.. Credence. Is mine, I mean. My name. Thank you... I should try and start moving...
no subject
Well, that happens here sometimes.
[:T No good way to explain why.]
But uh, oh yeah. Good luck and everything.
