[It might be hard to tell at first, but it is not, in fact, the surprised-looking Flaafy that is shouting excitedly at the Gear. Sharp-eyed viewers might see the two tiny arms wrapped around her middle before Frisk's head pokes out from over the Pokemon's shoulder, beaming and terribly excited.]

I didn't know they can change like this! I was just out makin' friends, but some of th' Pokemon didn't wanna be friends an' Shelly started attackin', an' I was tryin' t' stop it but then she started glowin' an' got bigger an' they got really really scared an' ran away!

[Shelly sighs and pats her trainer's arm a few times, and Frisk blinks before setting her back down with a quick apology, then promptly snatches up the Gear to hold it properly. They might not be happy about the fight, but this is still so exciting!!]

It's so cool! I didn't know Pokemon could change like that! But, um, when's she gonna go back t' normal?

[Thankfully, Frisk doesn't mind people being friendly right off the bat, so they just giggle and nod with a wide smile.]

Ehe! She had a lot more fluff before, but now she's bigger so there's a lot more t' hug! Um, but what d'you mean 'bout peaceful? I thought if you can get 'em in th' ball it means they like you?

I guess that's maybe how it works if you catch a Pokemon, but I hatched this Nidoran from an egg, and he's always been a troublemaker. When he got bigger, that just meant he could make even more trouble! I got him back in the ball and everything, but I have kind of just left him in there...

It's good you probably won't have to worry about that with yours, though!

[Frisk frowns with concern, rocking side to side. They understand that John doesn't want to be hurt by his Pokemon, but...]

Did you try askin' him why he's so mad? Or, um, if somethin's hurtin' him? He shouldn't hafta stay in his ball like that...

I tried a lot of things! I tried talking softly, I tried feeding him, I tried playing the radio... Blue can sing to him and get him to sleep, but that's not really a long time solution to my Pokemon just being a jerk. I think he just doesn't like me, even though I am basically his Pokemon father.

I heard that badges can earn your Pokemon's respect, though, so I'm going to try and get me some of those soon.

Uh... I'm not sure that flirting with a Pokemon is really legal? Like aren't there laws against romantic overtures with animals?
