15th Run // Life on the Waves

[ Hellooooo Network! Ash is calling from the sunny tropics of the Sevii Islands. And just behind him are a whole colony of Pikachus, either lazing about on the beach or paddling out to hit the waves on adorable, Pikachu sized surfboards. But he's not here to super go into that. ]

Hey everyone! Ur, quick question; Why did no-one tell me that Pikachus evolve differently out here? Is that just a thing? You come over here and the weather changes what they evolve into in a way? Does that happen to other Pokemon too??

[ As he says that, lo and behold, an Alolan Raichu floats into view behind him, sitting on his tail and looking dreamy relaxed. And then it talks - telepathically, BUT STILL, it sounds exactly like you'd expect a hippie beach bum to talk. ]

Man...I feel like...I'm surfing on the currents of the Earth's pulse. The world is my ocean...and the air are my waves. Hey Ash. Dude.

[ Ash couldn't fight the growing smile on his face. God he loves his Raichu but holy shit. When he answers, he's clearly straining not to give away how close he is to laughing at how amazing and hilarious this is. ]

Yeah, Holokai?
Dude... when we go back, you gotta play guitar for me.

I wanna see if I can ride those soundwaves like I'm riding these electro waves. Some of the faster ones would be like, too rough. But some of the smoother stuff's good for surfing through, and I wanna feel it, like I'm feeling the air and Mother Nature's heartbeat right now. You feel me, yeah?

[ Ash's shoulders might be shaking, as Holokai happily sails on by, still taking in his new abilities and spouting more beach-talk to Ash. ]

[Excuse Noctis as he tries his best not to laugh when he appears on the network, biting the inside of his cheek hard to keep it at bay.]

[ Ash managed to lower his voice, still struggling with his own need to laugh. ]

Dude. Dude I can't. He's fucking psychic and he's blown his own mind. Look at him!

[ Ash focused the Gear on Holokai again, who was now floating upside down and marveling at his own powers and the sensation of floating upside down. He was even posed as if still sat on his own tail! ]

I didn't even know Raichus could become psychic? How the fuck does that even work? I asked a local and they were all "well these Pikachus around here eat nothing but pancakes, so that must be it!"?? [ Ash didn't buy that cos what the fuck. Meanwhile, Holokai was slowly spinning himself around, to take in all dimensions of floating. ]

[Okay nope he can't help but start laughing at the sight of Holokai floating like that, slapping a hand over his mouth to try and muffle the sound but it doesn't help much.]

That is the best thing I've seen all day holy crap, Ash.

[His laughter attracts the attention of a certain little goofball of his own, Moogle the Pichu easily scaling his back and flipping up onto his shoulder. The little mouse peers curiously at the 'gear before letting out a happy noise, waving wildly with both arms.

Because clearly that's a clown over there.]

I love him but oh my god. I evolved him yesterday. He's been like this since yesterday.

[ He's REALLY STRUGGLING with Noctis outright laughing too ~~the prat~~! So much so his voice cracked slightly. Holokai meanwhile, has righted himself at long last and hopped to stand on his tail properly, floating over to Ash to see who he's talking to. ]

Ash. You gotta feel this- oh hey, Noctis, dude. And little dude. How's your mellow?

Just wait! I bet he's going to be like this for the next month, Ash!

[Maybe even for the rest of his life. You've got a psychic guru-chu now, buddy!!

With the Raichu's attention on him now Noct tries his best to quell his laughter, lifting a hand to mock salute Holokai while Moogle just bounces in glee.]

It's good man. It's so good. And I ain't a clown, but I am your friend, little dude. [ Holokai is as chill as ever, despite still riding the highs of suddenly having psychic powers. Ash patted his chest, coughed out his snickers and trying to shake it off. Okay, he's good! He's good. ]

Ash dude, you gotta feel this. Just like, relax and let the world turn man-
Wait- Holokai, it's cool, I don't need to right now-!

[ But nope. Holokai stood on his tail, lifting his arms as a purple-pink glow came over him. Ash was lifted into the air and, just as Holokai had been moments before, was being rotated around so he experience floating in various degrees. Later, Ash would admit that it's pretty damn neat. Right now though he shoots a look to Noctis before sighing and closing his eyes, letting Holokai do what he's doing ]

I know man. I know. Just let it flow man...the currents are so chill... [ He was even psychic whispering, like he was showing Ash a massive secret of the universe. MAYBE HE WAS. ] Noctis, little dude. I'll show you guys too, yeah?

[Poor Moogle has no idea what a hippie is. He just thinks all the flipping upside down and weird way Holokai acts is because he's a clown!]

[Before Noct can get out what he was going to ask Holokai is already lifting Ash up and turning him about and that just wrecks the last of the prince's self control. He bursts out laughing though he does at least get a hand over his mouth to muffle it a bit, ducking to the side so he's off camera some what.

Oh holy shit this is the best.

Moogle just blinks and tilts his head from one side to the other, looking from the 'gear to Noctis and back again.]

Are you sure you aren't a clown? You make Noctis laugh pretty hard!

Nah man...you don't gotta be a clown to make people laugh. Just like you don't need to be a wave to move people. [ While Noctis can't handle himself, yet another chu of Ash's is influencing his young Pokemon. THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT THE WORLD NEEDS. Meanwhile Ash has his arms folded and has somehow managed to slump in midair as if he's kicking back in a chair. He opened his eyes with a smile, getting an idea. ]

Yo Holokai. It'll be best if you could show the pair of em, once we all meet up again. They gotta know how this feels man...

Just, when it comes to ya, yeah? When it feels right...like, when the moons really got a pull, and the waves are hitting the shore in a beat. [ Holokai's eyes went wide and he floated over to Ash, floating upside down with him. This is why he loves his trainer. ]
Yeah...when Mother Earth's really feeling it and is giving us her all...

[ Ash catches Holokai during his imprompto song to give him a hug, and gives Noctis a grin that's both genuine and smug as hell. Cos when you least expect it, you're gonna be floating with this mouse raving about the oceans and fish now. Get wrecked nerd ]

[Oh screw you, Ash! You jerk!

But honestly Noctis would probably get a kick out of it so he won't complain too much. Right now he's just going to enjoy this while he can because it's absolutely ridiculous.

And Moogle...is just going to let out an amused little chirp.]

[ Ash chuckled, slowly being spun the right way around. But still floating as if casually sitting down, with Holokai in his lap. ]
Watch out, looks like another one of my Raichu's is taking in your young and easily influenced Pokemon.

[It's said in a joking tone, Noctis scooping up Moogle who squeals a bit, flailing about before 'dying' in his grasp, tongue lolling out and everything.]

[ Ash laughed, taking zero offense. His Raichus are ridiculous, he knows it. Holokai grinned and played along with Moogle. ]

Oh man...my lil Nephew! Dude, don't go into the light!

Given An Tintreach is always eager to support Moogle and his antics, you weren't getting out of it either way.

[Moogle twitched in an over-exaggerated manner, one of his paws getting tossed up over his face in the process. He can't help it, Uncle! The light! It's so beautiful!]

[ Holokai tried to pick up Moogle with his psychic powers, but only managed to life the Gear. Now everything's floating! ]

Nah, if I was gonna do that I would've told you some rubbish about another Pokemon I got ya and tried to pass off that they evolve into something weird. But I don't think I can top what these guys really evolve into anymore!

[ On cue, Holokai also lifted his arms and cheered for Moogle's revival. ]

Welcome back little Nephew! Did you see the great spirits? Or is there a big gate, with a sign about skating?

..See but now I'm going to second guess all the Pokemon I have from you. What if Excalibur actually turns into something insane?

[He's still teasing, of course. He knows what his lovely shiny sword is going to turn into.

Moogle's eyes go wide and he leans in towards the 'gear, nodding.]

A huge gate! A HUGE ONE! I ran into it.
