Twenty-first Sacrament: Combat
[ The video opens on a duo of Team Rocket grunts. They're wearing their uniform, masks on and hat tilted down low. One has a Rattata, the other a Golbat. They start talking to the camera, walking along the street. It's a quiet, out of the way part of Saffron City; slightly smoggy but not as bustling as the more central streets. ]
You punks think this is some kind of joke? Team Rocket's not some kiddy club. All Pokemon exist for us, and we're gonna take what we're due! So that guy over there - the one in the coat, ugly scarf and the Honchkrow looking hat? That's Walter Sullivan. [ And that is indeed Walter Sullivan, in a long raincoat, scarf and hat tipped with dark feathers. He seems to be alone, using a walking cane as if he needs it, walking down the other sidewalk. ] And he's a filthy, lowlife traitor. That cane's probably cos he got fucked up when he hurt our operations in Goldenrod. But it ain't enough. So we're gonna take back what he took from us, and more. And you're all gonna watch, so you all recognise what happens when you resist Team Rocket!
[ The camera is given to the Rattata; clearly they're gonna be the cameraman here. The pair cross over, one blocking Walter's path and the other approaching him from behind. Walter abruptly stopped, eyeing the trainer in front of him carefully. He shifted his grip on the cane, holding it around the middle. ]
You knew this was coming. Hand over all your Pokemon! Go, Golbat! [ The Golbat swooped at Walter as the Rocket behind him lunged for him. ]
[ But Walter reacted quickly, turning sharply and swinging the cane like like a club. The steel top hit home, smashing into the young grunt's skull. The force caused them to spin to the ground, out cold. The Golbat was also sent flying back; a Gengar had swept out of Walter's long-cast shadow, sucker punching the bat back. He gave a single order, before the Grunt could call out another Pokemon or flee. ]
Hypnosis.
[ The Gengar giggled and vanished, suddenly appearing right before the Grunt. Her eyes glowed a venomous red. The Rattata holding the camera had decided it wasn't worth getting caught up in this fight, hiding behind a trashcan...and still recording. Walter calmly approached the Grunt who was frozen in place. Adjusting his hold on the cane again, he raised it over his head and brought it down on the Grunt's skull with a crack. He gave them a kick, testing if they were conscious and, once satisfied, strode briskly on his way, leaving the pair and their Golbat scattered on the sidewalk. His expression throughout had been calm and collected, as if they'd been asking him to donate to a charity he wasn't interested in. He took off the hat and began to pull his hair into a ponytail, as the Gengar floated after him in a fit of giggles. The Rattata gave a cowardly squeak, and the footage cut off. ]

And then the fight happened. Well less of a fight and more of a beat down. That was a bit worrisome. However, Walter didn't kill them, he just ....walked away.
Either way he knew he was going to talk to the young man at some point. So he opens a video feed.]
Well that certainly didn't go as they expected.
You seem fine, but I've a tendency to worry so I'll ask anyway. Are you alright?
no subject
I'm fine. I have been expecting them to catch up to me eventually.
no subject
Well you seem to have handled yourself well. Though if you intend to go into hiding again. I'd recommend a change of hairstyle, or hair colour. You'd be surprised how many people that can fool.
[It worked with Heather for a long time.]
no subject
I do not intend to stay here for long. I am only passing through to get to my current hiding place.
no subject
Smart.
What makes you so sure they'll find you again though?

Wow....you're really tough.
Why did they want to hurt you?
no subject
I worked for them. But because they were hurting Pokemon, I blew up their laboratory and took a Pokemon from them.
no subject
.....You blew it up?
[She thinks that over and then nods seriously.]
They deserved it if they were hurting pokemon. Someone told me about them, they sound evil.
[That person was also a member hoping to leave but she doesn't know that.]
no subject
They are.
What is your name? [ She must be relatively new if she did not know about Team Rocket. ]
no subject
My name's Newt. I got here a week ago
You're Walter, right?

Part of her also worries that this is somehow her fault. Walter seemed to be doing fine laying low, then he sends her a message and suddenly he's being attacked. She worries maybe Walter thinks the same.
She gives it a little while before calling.]
Walter, are you alright after that?
no subject
By the time Diana reaches him, he's made it to the Centre and, careful to hide the blood on the cane, managed to warp to Cerulean. ]
I'm fine. They did not hurt me, or get any of my Pokemon.
no subject
[The whole skull bashing thing probably should have been jarring but by this point, no.]
Are you gonna be safe? In Kanto? If they're looking for you, maybe you should go back to the islands for a week while it cools down.
no subject
I can handle them. I will not stay here for long, and I know what cities they have bases in.
no subject
Stay? Are you moving back to Johto?

Sheesh, I mean I'm used to getting my ass kicked but that was just pathetic.
At least you're still alive. How's Doll?
She's fine. [ Her training was nearly complete. Soon she would be able to Mega-Evolve. ]
Re: [video]
That's good. You know Diana and I were really worried when she bailed on us.
I don't hold that against her mind, I blame you. But that's fine. Forgive and forget...for the most part.
[Maybe not forgiving everything though, and never forgetting.]
Why are you talking to me.
And I'm glad you're alive and safe even if I'm still mad at you for being so secretive about it.

video;
You could have killed them!

[ Yes, it was entirely necessary. ]
no subject
[Look you could have had them arrested or something he's just protesting the head injuries.]
no subject
[ He really doesn't care for this stranger's moral standards especially given his own were heavily geared towards survival, regardless of the cost or damage he left in his wake. ]
If you wish to tend to their medical needs or alert an ambulance, then you have seen where they are.
no subject
[That's just. Overkill. And besides, they could be using these guys -- trying to question them.]
