I just checked the kids levels today and to my surprise, all that casual leveling has paid off! Pikachu's now 100 and I'm really excited for her.
So I'm going to probably get her something cute, any suggestions?
[She taps her chin thoughtfully for a moment, before adding,]
Oh yeah, and if anyone wants to come over, I'll be in Goldenrod today.

Yeah, they're a type of story. A genre actually, like fantasy and romance yes.

[Well that makes a bit more sense. She couldn't understand how adventuring, fighting and stuff like that was just a boy's thing. Genres are weird.]
From where? I like good adventure stories.

[Which is possibly a funny thing to say, considering that she has a very Irish accent so she should be from Earth.]
Is Seinen the sort of adult in nature that parents don't want you reading because there are Things that people do in there that they don't want to explain to their kids or because the writing is more mature?
no subject
It depends, like the writing tends to be more mature in nature, but it can edge into stuff that you don't want kids to read or watch.
no subject
Hah! At least kids probably won't understand what's going on or if they do find it kinda icky.
[She certainly did, at least when she was little.]
no subject
Probably not, no. Some shows like to masquerade as light and colorful stuff, and then it viciously tears out your heart with feelings.
no subject
I love those sorts of shows. They're the best. Which do you like?

I like Rosaline and the McCallum TV show... for more than personal reasons... they actually managed to make what is essentially a bosom heaving romance novel into something that has stakes beyond will she get the guy and a really interesting story.

Protecting is very important, even if you have to do things you don't want to or leave people behind.

We've been protecting Eire before Eire was Eire.

[Which is right and proper. Ireland is just wrong...]
I'd never heard of Ireland before coming here.

Ten years of being a superhero, you learn some things.

Your world is connected to the Cosmic Web?
Heh. Mum won't let me go on the really dangerous missions solo just yet but I've been training since I was four.
What's your knack?
no subject
The way I was told about it, a object called the Prism Flower keeps our worlds connected with the countless other kingdoms. And for years now, the residents of said Kingdoms have gone through strife and hardship, some of them even wiped out like the Palamir Kingdom before it was rebuilt.
I'm a superhero who uses lightning. They call us Precure.
no subject
It's a... pathway... a connection between various worlds. Kind of like the ones between the human world and fairy. There's a story that says that my family came from some other destroyed world before coming to earth.
Precure... that's a cool sounding name. My knack is talking to animals and finding things.
no subject
Yeah, it's short for Pretty Cure. A group of magical superheroes who boast speed and agility higher than anyone else on the planet.
no subject
Not very many people believe in the Cosmic Web except for the tin hat people and some really rare ritual mages... who could probably be classified as tin hat people.
Actually, the reason why we're protectors is kinda ... sad. My ancestor screwed up really badly and created an EVIL forest that ate people's souls. Part of the punishment for that was to protect the entry to fairy that we came from and make sure the evil forest didn't come through.
[A bit more complicated than that but...]
Pretty Cure? Why is that your name?
And use lightning?
no subject
Ah, yeah, most people don't know anything about the fairy worlds. Precure are usually secret, save for a few instances.
Oh I see, that must be hard.
[She smiled a little more though.]
Actually my superhero name is Cure Peace. Pretty Cure or Precure are ancient legends in my world, and have been part of the world for years.
My element is lightning, while my friends are beams, ice, wind and fire.
