It took a bit longer than I intended but my team and I finally did it.

[Attached to the post is a picture of a Ninetales, scruffy bangs hanging in his face as he proudly holds a badge case in his mouth. All eight Kanto badges are on display, Cissnei and Reno fresh out of the Fuschia gym.]

Question for those that have completed both regions:

Did you wait before taking on the next region after you finished your first or did you dive right in and do them all one right after the other?

I can't decide if I should settle back down on the islands for a bit or head to Johto after a short break.

Advice?

As someone who has NOT completed both regions, I recommend not stopping unless you are absolutely certain you'll be motivated enough to continue after your break. Badges are extremely easy to put off for years.

Those elite teams at level 100 should be a good challenge too, if you like those, and there's always the money if you need it. Beyond that, I guess an important factor would be your team's interest and motivation?

I bet team number two would love that opportunity. But are you uncertain of your motivation because you've just done a bunch in a row, or because there's something else you'd rather do?

Too bad sending your team to fight by themselves while you cheer them on from the beach isn't an option. There's the option to take your vacation in the city where you'd get your next badge, I guess? If it's not some place like Azalea.

[...

......Wait.]

It might not actually be? You'd have to ask a Gym leader to know for sure. I mean, I don't think anyone's ever tried, but no one's really asked either.

Your team gets to prove their independence and tactical thinking, you get to finish a novel or go out for ice cream. It's perfect! If your team has the necessary tactical thinking, of course. I know some of mine wouldn't.

Now that's one thing you REALLY can't ask them to do in your stead. Unless your potential leaders would rather be reading over your shoulder.

Out and about and proudly kicking Gym leader ass? Can't say I blame them.

Do tell us if it's allowed. Who knows, this kind of challenge might be the motivation I need to drag myself back to Kanto.

Much appreciated. Good luck with your attempt!
