A. Do You Wanna Ride?
The little bit of sleep he got at Cherrygrove didn't really prepare him for the flight over. Sure, the speed and actual flight itself didn't bother him much, but the length of time it took wore him down again. Maybe a solid day of sleeping would do some good. Keith watches the change in weather as they get to the islands. He's accepted this is real and not delirium. But it doesn't stop astounding him. This is where they've been all this time.
The minute he's landed, Keith is getting his litten out of its ball. He hadn't wanted to put her back in there, but it was the best way to travel with her over this long a distance. But they're out and about on the beach, exploring the immediate area on the way to the house and getting a look at the island.
B. Hidden in the Sand
So, after a solid eighteen hours of sleep, Keith feels a little refreshed. Enough to explore a bit further. The water is .... okay, but not really to his liking. So Keith goes the opposite direction, inland and to the trees. His litten seemed insistent to walk before him, listening in for anything. It's almost cute.
"Come on, I'm sure there's nothing out here." If Matt and Shiro both live out here, it's bound to be safe. Probably.
Except when there absolutely is. Litten stops and arches her back, growling when there's a rustle up ahead. Keith wishes he had his knife, but there's only so much you can do against -- a ball? His shoulders drop a little as he watches this red-and-white ball roll closer, then stop. Then turn to face them with an actual face. And then there's a second. And a third, fourth.
He's already losing count.
"Uh."
How are you supposed to wrestle a ball?
C. First Transition
If Keith isn't outside or asleep, he's in whatever common room is set up in the house. Studying was never his strong suit, most of it going over his head. He's better at practical application, learning things by doing. But in this case, that would only get his litten hurt. Not something he wants to risk. So Keith will try things the nerd way: sitting and reading, trying to cram all this into his head and keep it there. Pokemon, pokemon types, pokemon skills, pokemon natures, and abilities and levels and evolutions - it's a lot.
And he's only gotten through what he's been able to record on the island itself, which isn't much. He growls looking through the dex, his little lifting her head only to lay down again.
"This is stupid."
It'd be better to just walk out the door and do this himself. But that soft purring against his leg on the couch is the only thing keeping him from doing it.

A
After all, they had spent so much time together in space, as part of team Voltron. For Keith to not know about any of that... Shaking those thoughts out of his head, he instead focuses on what he can do here instead. If they were able to become buddies back home, they could certainly forge a new friendship here in this world as well!
When Keith first makes it to the island, Hunk is out training with his team. By the time he's gotten back to the home they all share, Keith is dead asleep. Something Hunk definitely approves of considering he did much the same when he first arrived at the island himself. While his soon to be re-friended buddy catches some good Z's, Hunk gets his team to help him make a little welcoming card for Keith. They all sign it, even though Chuchule almost sets it on fire with her flamethrower attack (why that was her favorite, Hunk will never know).
So, whenever Keith finally does awaken, he will see a hand-drawn card of Hunk and himself in their respective yellow, and red paladin uniforms. Next to Hunk is the yellow lion and his rockruff Shay. With Keith is the red lion and his litten. Above them in bubble letters reads: WELCOME TO THE ISLAND KEITH!
Inside the card is a cartoonish drawing of Voltron itself with a little welcoming note: I know we come from different points of time, but I know we'll be best bros in NO time!! Whatever you need let me know. I'll do my best to help :)
Your Soon To Be (Old) New Friend Hunk!!
Should Keith venture out into the house, he will find Hunk either in the living area trying to keep K.J. the Aron from eating something he's not supposed to, or trying to train Chuchule to stop smacking others.
that's too cute wtf
He does wake, though. About a day later to his litten headbutting him. She's hungry, she wants to move, she wants to do things. He's distracted and almost misses the card, except when she sits right by it. Like saying no you're seeing this first. He picks it up and looks it over, eyes adjusting to the writing and the drawings.
"Oh jeez..." From Hunk, that teammate he's supposed to know. That looked so sad when Keith didn't. If he went to this much trouble, Keith must've really made an impression on the guy.
Keith takes a breath and folds the card up to put in his back pocket before he steps out to the main area. Litten skips a few steps ahead of him, then bounds back trying to hurry him up. "All right, all right. Just... Hold on, I don't know where anything is."
He stops in the doorway to the living area, seeing the big guy there and not really recognizing at first. But then it does, the video conversation.
"Um. Sorry, I-- uh. Hunk, right?"
no subject
"Keith, hey! Good to finally see you up and about. I was starting to get worried you were sick or something. How are you feeling?"
no subject
"I'm... Okay? I think. Not sick." He takes a breath and looks Hunk in the face. This guy just... radiates friendliness. How did he ever get to be friends with someone like this? He wonders about that. Keith holds out one hand for him to shake.
"Just waking up."
no subject
When K.J. starts to get a bit too wriggly, Hunk sets him down on the floor where he totters over to Keith to give his foot a sniff.

WILDCARD... A ish
Sometimes pokemon are as dumb as people. Meaning, they don't notice when things change. They don't expect to waltz into their trainer's room and not find their big dorito-shaped trainer not in his mattress bed. Blue, the newly evolved Gallade, just saunters right on in, carrying an entire hammock over his narrow little shoulder. Look, Shiro told him to go find one, so he did.
... he stole it out of someone else's yard, but that's beside the point.
Only to stop dead in the doorway when it's clear that is not Shiro on the mattress-floor-bed. He sort of sideways shuffles over. Darts around the sleeping human. Who even is this?
And so, taking a page out of the book he was named after, Blue... proceeds to poke the sleeping Keith.
With one ridiculously long arm.
no subject
But it doesn't stop, and the longer it goes on, the more awake he is and the more irritated. Keith finally groans and moves to start sitting up.
"Ugh... what is... that..." He looks over and. This isn't the shack. And that's not a desert critter. His eyes are a little wide at the Gallade.
"Uh... Can I.. Help you?"
no subject
No sooner does Keith so much as move than the Gallade is leaping into the air with his odd, shrieking cry. Flailing those long arms around. This is not the person he was expecting. Not even close.
Blue ends up about a yard from the mattress, holding out a sword-like arm, chattering in the pokemon version of "WHO THE %$@# ARE YOU".
no subject
"Hey-- Come on!" He almost can't hear himself until the cry stops. He growls under his breath (and is there really any way to tell Keith isn't a feral cat himself? Hard to tell some days) and glares at it.
"What the heck are you?!"
no subject
At... the same time Keith asks it.
Blue shuts up. Glowers. And then starts squeak-chattering again. Because what the heck "I ASKED YOU FIRST!"

C-ish (Also, excuse you, there is a space hobo too.)
When he gets in, Mimi, the Mimikyu floats down to the floor to sit on Kerberos, quietly watching the newcomer in the house. Matt walks over, glancing at Keith's work.
"Well, look at that. He has figured out how to open a book." It's fond, he swears.
oh I had him as the rebel leader but sure that works
But the words are so nostalgic, it takes a second to remember where he is. What's happened.
"Funny. Figured out how to get out of a headlock yet?" It's all in good jest.
I was being a butt, actually.
"Actually, I have. I'll have to show you one of these days. Someone actually taught me to fight."
He moves, sitting down beside Keith, and glancing at the books. "I haven't been here that much longer than you have, but... I could try to help, if you have specific questions."
OH I SEE
He definitely wants to see that one day. He knows he can take on Shiro in a near-even match (Shiro beats him out on size and body strength alone), but Matt? He'll need to see it before he believes it.
The matter at hand though... He picks litten up and sets her down despite her offended cries. "I don't even remember what I was originally looking for. But I guess... Better ways to take care of her?"
no subject
Kerberos rolls over and chitters cheerfully, as Matt reaches over to pet the Litten.
"Well, brushing, I know, and well, she is a kitten." Matt smiles a bit. "Looks like she likes you, though."

C
Magellan slinks around the couch on all fours --which yes, looks absolutely every bit as ridiculous as you expect it to-- his ears twitching forward in interest. Not towards Keith, mind you. The human gets a short glance over before being dismissed. Too short and skinny looking, probably no good for wrestling. No, Magellan's interest is on the little Litten. His whiskers twitch as he approaches, his head held low so it is more or less on eye-level with the other little cat, a rough rumbling purr building in his throat.
Keith, please enjoy your first encounter with the 6 foot tall muscle beast your small cat will one day turn into.
no subject
Keith looks down and. And that's big. He's big. "Uh--"
Litten doesn't seem bothered. More curious than scared and leans in to sniff at Magellan. If Litten isn't scared, then ostensibly, he shouldn't either. But it's still so... uneasy. Seeing it. "...Hi?"
Litten gives a little noise and gently bats at Magellan's nose. Then half a jump back to wait and see what it does.

no subject
Keith is watching, more curious than stopping it. This is a thing happening. And it doesn't look like the big one wants to actually fight litten, so it should be okay.
no subject
They still do, but they also used to.
Magellan waits, allowing his tail to lay mostly still with only the tip flicking, trying to goad the little Litten into another strike. Though this time, he'll be moving his tail at the last minute. Gotta teach her how to properly pounce on this, after all. This is his Duty now.
you're gonna kill me with all this cute
Let the cats be cute forever
no battles only play
Magellan has adopted her now. She is his.

B, for the Voltorb love
This is an excellent question, and one every Pokemon who lives on Attack on Voltron island needs to learn. Especially when, from amidst the horde of red and white balls, there emerges a white and red ball, rolling imperiously out from between them to examine Litten.
It's Blitz, the Fatherlord of all the Voltorbs on the island, coming to investigate this newcomer. Please pay no attention to how, despite being an Electrode, he's only a little bit bigger than his Voltorb brethren. He may be small, but he is mighty and fierce.
He's also the only one with a mouth and eyebrows, both of which are scowling at Keith. Who the hell are you?
please save him
"Look, I- I'm not here for trouble. Just passing through." Said as if he expects these things to understand him. Litten's hairs are standing on end along her back, like she's ready to attack given the right reason.
no subject
Shaggy Head gives him pause, though, and Blitz rolls back and forth a little as he looks at him. Not here for trouble, huh? Good, because if he was trying to start shit, Blitz would be willing to go to the mats against him! But he's being pleasant enough, and Blitz has no interest in beating up on a Litten.
After a moment's thought, Blitz turns and crackles to the other Voltorbs. They listen, and as soon as Blitz is done, start rolling back into the underbrush. All except one, which Blitz nudges forward towards Keith.
Here. This one is for you. It's dangerous to go alone, you clearly need a Voltorb.
no subject
They all roll away, except the one.
"Uh. I... Don't think I understand what's happening here."
no subject
Yes, that's right, this trainer is yours now, shut up and accept it.
