[The Porygon being spoken to let out a metallic hum, legs kicking in the air as it floated along behind it's new trainer. Said trainer, a young girl in battered green and white armor of some sort, was extremely frustrated and trying not to let this whole situation get to her but her comm system was down and she couldn't find her lion.
Not exactly ideal.
Pidge stopped in her tracks as she finally heard the singing, her Porygon bumping into her back with a questioning noise.]
Someone's out there. [She reached up to adjust her glasses with one hand while she held her 'gear tightly with the other, frowning.] Hello?
no subject
[However the figure does come over, and even with the lantern it is holding, it is very much a silhouette in the darkness, a strange looking one.]
Hello. I was unaware I had visitors to my forest.
[However despite appearances. He sounds polite. He's lying but hey that's what he does.]
no subject
What is that?!
Diode! [Pidge reached out to grab the Rotom and draw it close, cradling the fritzing little Pokemon against her chest as she eyed the being warily.]
This is your forest?
no subject
[That part is at least true.]
I watch over the forest in the Unknown.
no subject
[Pidge isn't sure what to make of that.]
What planet is this?
no subject
Planet? I'm afraid you're rather more lost then you think. The Unknown is not anywhere you can put on a map.
It is in-between.
no subject
[It comes out in a rather demanding tone, Pidge narrowing her eyes. She wants answers weirdo.]
no subject
Why, in-between ....everything.
You got lost somewhere and you ended up here. A wrong turn, a fall down a hill. Perhaps you walked into a forest that seemed to be normal at first and began to grow more and more ...unknown.
I cannot tell you what is on the outside of this place as I reside here but I have seen enough people come and go from this world to know that they come from a great many places and times.
no subject
But I wasn't lost. I was with my friends--on our ship.
[This thing doesn't need to details.
Behind her, Rover let's out a soft whimper, the Porygon really not liking this.]
I think I would have remembered something happening that brought me here.
no subject
Some people remember the moment they were lost. Others just seem....to arrive here.
[He tilts his head slightly.]
I have no doubt you will remember in time. Most people do. I believe it helps them leave this place. Time works ..oddly here. A day may pass by slowly and then a week in the blink of an eye.
I met someone again who I had once helped find her way out of the forest and she said that her time here was only a few seconds once she had returned to her own world. Which was rather odd as she had been here for at the very least a week.
no subject
[She's adamant about it, refusing to believe that something like this could just happen without her knowing.
But it's clear she's a bit unsettled by the notion.]
Wait-- [Pidge looked momentarily worried.] If time moves differently here..I can't be stuck here for a week! Or longer! My friends are counting on me! They can't form--we all have to be together. I have to get out of here.
[It's not said in a hurried manner, more a thoughtful way as she turns to look around as if trying to spot a pathway out.]
I can't..I can't let them down. I don't have that sort of time.
no subject
[People get here through many different ways. He doesn't know all of them and mostly he doesn't care. Some settle down, some are lost and try to get away. All of them are potential trees.]
[As she looks around she'll find that every part of the forest looks similar to the first.]
Well then, I suppose you had better start looking for a way home. If you would like, I could help you look. The forest changes after all but I tend to have a sense of the more....dangerous parts.
