Need a reminder of our Fourth Wall Rules? Find them here!
Katie "Pidge" Holt | Voltron: Legendary Defender
[Anyone wandering around Goldenrod City may find themselves in the path of a fleeing Porygon and a very excited Rotom, the pair zipping down the sidewalk with gleeful noises as Pokebeans get dropped in their wake.
Was that a bag they were hauling along behind them?]
Rover! Diode! Get back here!
[A teen about sixteen years old is hot on their heels, her green and white armor battered and has definitely seen better days but she seems to be in good shape otherwise.
Just irritated.
The Porygon let's out a high, chirp of a sound and manages to phase through some people that had been in its way while the Rotom zips upwards then back down behind them with a shrill giggle.]
Can't catch us!
[Dare to offer some help?]
[Network]
Has anyone seen a giant lion? A robot lion, not a real one.
[Pidge is frowning as she appears on the network, frustrated and tired from chasing her rogue Pokemon all over Goldenrod and then she ended up lost in a weird forest.
Today has just not been her day.]
It has to be here but I can't track it even with Diode and Rover's help. [A Rotom pops up over her shoulder, buzzing and flitting about merrily while a Porygon nuzzles up against Pidge's side.] So if anyone sees her, let me know. My name's Katie--or Pidge. Send me the coordinates and I'll get there as soon as I can.
[Network]
[Not that he knows anything about who "they" are.]
[Network]
Who's 'they'? Are you talking about whoever transported me here? Where can I find them--I'd like to have a few words with them, actually.
no subject
Yeah, whoever did it has done a good job of keeping to themselves, they haven't exactly announced their master plan in the time that I've been here. No clue who they are or where to find them, I got pulled in a few months ago and so far most people don't ... seem to care. About being here, I mean. This is a welcome vacation from whatever they've got going on back home, I guess.
[Him included. Orion has no real desire to go back and he wasn't research inclined, so he's never heard more than a passing rumor that a Pokemon brought them here.]
no subject
[Because that sounds like a safe way to go about things.]
How do you all know this isn't some sort of trap??
no subject
[Does he sound amused? He sounds amused, sorry Pidge.]
That's the thing, I don't think anyone cares. People have been brought here for so long over the years, they're just okay with it? I guess? It's like... whatever's happening here, none of it is any worse than what was happening back home for a lot of them.
So why be in any rush to leave or find some "solution" to something no one considers a problem?
[Man, is he naive. As if no one thought about going back ever.]
no subject
Why wouldn't they care? That doesn't make any sense. Everyone should want to get home! I want to get home--I have things I need to do.
[She had to find her family for one.]
How is it not a problem? This isn't our world, none of us belong here! [Pidge can't help but glare.] Something brought us here without our permission. That sounds like a serious problem to me!
no subject
[A shrug. Orion's very go-with-the-flow, he has no reason to rush home and no one he's talked to so far seemed all that alarmed. In fact, Pidge's reaction is pretty unusual for him to witness, but he's not an asshole. She seems pretty concerned.]
I don't know, the world I'm from some god or other is doing something without our permission all the time, guess I'm just used to it. If no one considers it much of a problem, they're not going to be scrambling to find a solution, you know? I just never put too much thought into it.
If you're worried about it though, maybe put out a broadcast to find other people trying to leave? It's not unheard of, people leave all the time... we just- don't really seem to know how.
Action
Are you playing tag?
[He looks up at the frog on his head.] Come on Frog! Let's play tag!
[The frog jumps down from his head and croaks before hopping into the fray. Gregory goes running after Porygon, giggling the whole way.]
no subject
[Pidge very nearly groans as the little boy takes off running after her Pokemon--why was he wearing a teapot on his head???--before bolting after them as Diode and Rover let out delighted noises as they're joined by a new playmate.]
Stop encouraging them!
[Diode the Rotom giggles in a static-y manner and zips around the frog Pokemon that was with Gregory, waving it's little appendages around as it goes.]
Faster faster! Keep away!
DIODE!
no subject
[Greg follows behind Rover and then abruptly stops and stare at Pidge.]
You don't want to play?
[The frog jumps up to try and grab Rotom. It's probably a good thing that he can't seem to catch Rotom since electricity rarely bods well for water type pokemon.]
no subject
I don't mind playing just not right now. They aren't listening to me so this is just encouraging them to be bad!
[Zipping out of the frog's grasp, Diode giggles and twirls about, zipping and sparking as it let's out a burst of static.]
This just in! You can't catch me!
no subject
[Greg purses his lips together and puts out his arms to make him look like he's an airplane flying around.]
Pew! Pew! I got you!
[His frog pokemon gets beneath his feet and he stumbles to the ground. There is a confused moment of silence and then the happy ringing of laughter as Greg presses his hands against his cheeks.]
[Network]
[HEATHER KNOWS HOW THESE WEEKENDS GO. She has no intention of helping to hunt down any robot lions. But does that mean she won't show off her Pokemon? HELL no.]
[Everyone needs to see this Litleo and if Pidge indicates interest at all, she will soon find out why.]
[Network]
How small are we talking? Is it a small robot lion?
[Network]
She's not really into science fiction.
[PIDGE ASKED. WHICH MEANS IT'S TIME TO SPIN THE CAMERA AROUND and reveal a rather fat Litleo who is dressed in the most hideous jumble of 80's fashion imaginable. Leg-warmers. Clip-on earrings. A tiny (but still poor-fitting) poodle skirt.]
[She whips her little head around in the closest approximation to a hair-flip that something with only a tiny hair-tuft between its ears can do, and bats her lashes at the camera.]
[There is glitter all over her face. It looks like she was eating it.]
[And in the background, her trainer is absolutely wheezing because no matter how many goddamn times she lets Scarlet into the costume box, it never gets any less funny.]
--okay, okay-- you can go back to looking for your robot, sorry, I just had to show somebody.
[Network]
[Pidge doesn't get a chance to finish because Heather is turning the 'gear around and she gets to see the lion being talked about.
And holy crap is it worth it.
She stares for a solid ten seconds before choking back a laugh, a gloved hand coming up to cover her mouth as she starts to grin, starting to shake from keeping her laughter at bay.
Okay that was all sorts of amazing and while it wasn't the lion she was looking for it was totally worth it.]
That is the most adorable thing I've seen in a long time. [It comes out through Pidge's muffled laughter, the young girl lowering her hand slightly so her grin is more visible.] Very stylish.
[Network]
[The Litleo strikes a pose, stubby tail sticking straight up. U KNO IT, GURL! And Heather continues laughing.]
She is more stylish than most people-- including me-- could ever dream of being.
[Network]
[Seriously, kitty cat, you've got it going on.]
What's her name?
[Network]
And no, that wasn't based on Scar from The Lion King.
That actually did not occur to me until someone asked for the first time.
[The Litleo gets busy dragging some more plastic bead necklaces out of the costume box. She's gonna try and wear ALL of them.]
How about a really late brother on the network?
Your lion isn't here, but I am, for what that's worth...
There's no such thing as late when it's a Holt Reunion
[Her voice cracks when she says it, her emotions having already been at a high because of her conversation with Shiro but actually seeing her brother?
Yeah it's not surprising there are tears in her eyes.]
For what it's worth--you're way more important than my lion, are you kidding me? [Pidge smiles despite the tears, laughing weakly.] Where are you? I'll come find you! Somehow--Diode and Rover can probably help!
no subject
Where are you? Can you describe it?
no subject
[Excuse her while she fumbles and balances the 'gear on her Porygon's head, backing up so Matt can see The Beast's forest.]
See?
