[Because everyone gets a Starter, and Krieg is still fascinated by all the different awesome badass creatures here, and so he definitely wants to know what Maya got.]

[She'll move the gear till she can pick up an Espurr with her free arm. The creature stares at the gear.]

Gear says it's an Espurr. Haven't picked a real name for them yet.

The small purple murder cat is a good match for the Siren!

[Like, seriously good. Dang!]

The Murder Chicken breathes fire almost as good as me!

[A Torchic was not as immediately apparent as a good match for Krieg, but its final form sure is, both in the fire breathing and also punching departments.]

Yeah! It used to sit in my hand but now it's as tall as me and it hits almost as hard!

[If he sounds super proud, it's because he is.]

[And with that excited and also vaguely unsettling croon, Krieg cuts the connection and is on his way!]

[She'll be the one with the glowing arm, freaking out the locals, with an Espurr on her other shoulder as she randomly phaselocks any pokemon that tries to attack.

This is blending in, right? Honestly she doesn't care at the moment.]

Action!!!

[One of the cool things about these weird weekends - apart from the brief return of his extreme fire breath - is that the fast travels that connect the Pokemon Centers have a tendency to go a little...wonky. Normally they only connect adjoining towns. This weekend, however, he might get lucky and cross the whole region in one quick trip.

Which happens this time because much like Krieg, his player is super impatient to get to the fun bits.

He steps out of the Pokemon Center into tiny Cherrygrove followed by his usual Blaziken shadow, and looks around. He doesn't see her immediately, but damn if he can't feel that telltale crackle of energy her phaselock gives off. He follows it without a thought, and finds her just in time to witness the electric captivity of one thoroughly hapless wild 'Mon.

The sight of her slim figure and her glowing tattoo stops him short as the reality of her presence really hits. He feels a surge of joy so powerful it makes his chest hurt, and for a long moment he just stares.

It's only a long moment, though, because no matter how occupied his mind might be, his mouth runs on an entirely different schedule.]

Let the little cat do the next one!

[Behind him, Murder Chicken squawks in cheerful agreement.]

Action!!!

[Yup that's Krieg alright. Maya lets her arm down and the phaselock drops a semi stunned Bidoof to the ground. She also lets the Espurr jump off her shoulder.]

I guess I can't have all the fun. Alright Flare, you think you can handle whatever attacks next?

[The Espurr stares at her and seems to nod. She's taking that as a yes and Maya looks over at Krieg and his pokemon.]

That's the murder chicken?
