So, uh. I'm back in Blackthorn for a little while and I've been thinking about something for a couple days that I'm... not entirely sure of.
Has anyone released their Pokemon back to the wild before? Or gave them the chance to leave if they wanted? And if|
I've noticed some of my Pokemon have been, er... getting a little reluctant to do anything or they seem really restless no matter what I do, and one has been wandering off a lot up here in the mountains. It took me almost the entire day to find him again and that was even after I was getting help from a woman up here. It's... almost as if he doesn't have any interest in staying with me anymore, so...
What's the right way to do that? To let them go, I mean. I don't want to force him to stay if he's unhappy.

Harry Mason found his starter again after he'd left. So maybe there's somewhere for them to go?

But that's all the information I have to go on, as far as letting them go is concerned.

If there's a place like that, I wonder why I never found mine after I came back the second time. I still don't really understand how I was here before, but someone said that I was a couple years ago.
no subject
Have you asked around? Seen if anyone would maybe be a better fit for them? I've known a couple people who've done that.

I'm not sure if I want to saddle someone with him. He's bad enough with me, and that's saying something considering I have a Tyranitar that's a handful like him.
[And with that one, well, he doesn't want to turn her loose on the poor unsuspecting mountain. Something small like Nidhogg is much easier to manage in the wild than Herja.]

That way, they know what they're getting into.

Or worse, both of them.

MAybe the monster nurses know?
[He means Nurse Joy. Any of them.]
[text]
There's supposed to be a place full of them here in Blackthorn but I haven't beaten the gym leader yet to actually, uh. go to it.
[text]
BUt you're in the dragon town, right? CAn you ask at the gym?
[text]
I'm not really sure what to call it. Lair seems a little ominous.
[text]
I'm gonna take on the dragons soon.
MAybe I'll see you.
[text]
But it'd be nice to see you again. It's been awhile.

maybe it wants to bang, is the point.

he broke some of the walls in my house

but yeah i got nothing. maybe it IS a born free kinda deal, who the hell nos. pokemon r weird.
no subject
he uh...
beyond all of that he only started acting like this after he evolved for the first time but that was a few months ago.
no subject
so this has been going on for a few months? getting worse?
no subject
but ummmm basically. i've tried tiring him out by letting him 'fight' with some of my other pokemon but that doesn't really work
and if i let him out to run off steam himself he ups and vanishes like he did earlier
no subject
...im guessing by the "" that you mean like not a serious fight. cause here's the thing. i got a ursa bear thing that is just stupid hi energy and he was 4 this fite club thing that doesnt happen anymore since my husband thing poofed, and he could use someone to work off HIS energy with.
wow i used 'thing' a lot!
ha
'thing'.
no subject
and they're all
really really big
well my aggron isn't tall but he's heavier than anything i've ever seen and the tyrantrum is uhhhh
have you seen that one dinosaur movie with the park that they have here? he's like that uh
thing in there. i'm actually not really sure what they were called in other worlds
no subject
hes a beast. and i got a bunch of big rough guys on my team, they need a place to train and fite and shit.
oh yeah i no what u mean. those dudes are big!
no subject
what i mean is uhm
is it dragon-proof? he's a hakamo-o if that helps
no subject
its dragon proof
i got a huge charizard.
no subject
[Are they supposed to be huge? His is small - sometimes he has a hard time fitting on her back for flying!]
no subject
wasn't bulky tho.
that was lots of training.
no subject
[He hates it.]
what's the biggest that can fit in that sort of place?
no subject
dunno. havent hit the limit yet!

The way I feel is that when we catch or hatch a pokemon, we don't know what pokemon we are getting in terms of personality and goals. It is random chance. And I think it is only realistic to accept that sometimes a pokemon's personality and goals, and those of a trainer or breeder might not match. Or that they might grow apart over time.
I want my pokemon to be happy, but I think that sometimes I cannot provide them with what they need to be happy. And when it comes down to that, I'd rather let them go than selfishly keep them with me.

Well.
You remember when part of my house up in the mountains ended up taking damage.
I don't think I can push him onto another person like this either.

Have you talked to any of the other breeders here? Maybe this is something that happens more commonly with some Pokemon after they have their first batch of eggs.

video;
Bert! Bertolt, look!
[That's clearly Jean's voice, and when the Aggron ducks in and manages to lick the camera of the communicator, Jean's laughter.]
Strudel evolved!
[Important information.]

She's gotten big.]
I-Is that really her?
[Good lord, she even looks stockier than Aggreiner!]
no subject
not because i don't like him or because he's trying to get away but because we never really
clicked
i treated it like shit when it was a magikarp and we've talked it out but it's like
we're not...friends?? it's weird
so i defs feel u
when it aint right it aint right
no subject
I've got a couple that are like that now that I think about it more.
It's not as if I treated them badly, but some of them don't really listen to me? Nidhogg aside, I've even got a Tyranitar that I'm surprised hasn't tried to kill me yet with how moody she gets.
I'm honestly just not sure what to do with some of them though. Some I could let go, but I don't know where or how to do that. Others... I'm not sure if I'd want to let something like Herja run wild up here.
