So, uh. I'm back in Blackthorn for a little while and I've been thinking about something for a couple days that I'm... not entirely sure of.

Has anyone released their Pokemon back to the wild before? Or gave them the chance to leave if they wanted? And if|

I've noticed some of my Pokemon have been, er... getting a little reluctant to do anything or they seem really restless no matter what I do, and one has been wandering off a lot up here in the mountains. It took me almost the entire day to find him again and that was even after I was getting help from a woman up here. It's... almost as if he doesn't have any interest in staying with me anymore, so...

What's the right way to do that? To let them go, I mean. I don't want to force him to stay if he's unhappy.

I haven't heard of anyone releasing them. But I have heard of people finding theirs again after they were gone for a while... Harry Mason found his starter again after he'd left. So maybe there's somewhere for them to go?

That's a little different than willingly releasing them though, isn't it? When people disappear, it's... usually not by their own choice.

Yeah, I guess t would be. But that's all the information I have to go on, as far as letting them go is concerned.

If there's a place like that, I wonder why I never found mine after I came back the second time. I still don't really understand how I was here before, but someone said that I was a couple years ago.

I'm sorry. I wish I had better answers for you than that. Have you asked around? Seen if anyone would maybe be a better fit for them? I've known a couple people who've done that.

I'm not sure if I want to saddle someone with him. He's bad enough with me, and that's saying something considering I have a Tyranitar that's a handful like him.

You could always ask. See if there's anyone who's really looking for a challenge. That way, they know what they're getting into.

I don't think that's a good idea. The last thing that needs to happen is someone lying about it and then getting themselves hurt in the process.

I haven't really seen any other Hakamo-o around. Or anything else from their line. So it's gotta be pretty rare, right?

There's supposed to be a place full of them here in Blackthorn but I haven't beaten the gym leader yet to actually, uh. go to it.

beyond all of that he only started acting like this after he evolved for the first time but that was a few months ago.

but ummmm basically. i've tried tiring him out by letting him 'fight' with some of my other pokemon but that doesn't really work
and if i let him out to run off steam himself he ups and vanishes like he did earlier

...im guessing by the "" that you mean like not a serious fight. cause here's the thing. i got a ursa bear thing that is just stupid hi energy and he was 4 this fite club thing that doesnt happen anymore since my husband thing poofed, and he could use someone to work off HIS energy with.

i think a full-on serious fight would do some pretty major damage to where i live. he only ever seems to want to fight with my aggron or tyrantrum or gods forbid the tyranitar i have

well my aggron isn't tall but he's heavier than anything i've ever seen and the tyrantrum is uhhhh
have you seen that one dinosaur movie with the park that they have here? he's like that uh
thing in there. i'm actually not really sure what they were called in other worlds

i got a basement in blackthorn that's set up for that kinda thing. like i said goliath was trained for fiting.
hes a beast. and i got a bunch of big rough guys on my team, they need a place to train and fite and shit.

huge? i mean, hes big for a charizard. bulky. tall and lots of muscle. but he was always kinda taller than average, even when he hatched.

wasn't bulky tho.

that was lots of training.

my arcanine is sort of like that. he's even taller than I am and the last time I checked, I was almost six and a half feet.

what's the biggest that can fit in that sort of place?

yeah i got some that r bigger, some that r smaller... 1 thats morbidly obese no matter wut i do...

dunno. havent hit the limit yet!

I have. Well, there have been a few I released in the wild, and a few I gave away to other trainers. The way I feel is that when we catch or hatch a pokemon, we don't know what pokemon we are getting in terms of personality and goals. It is random chance. And I think it is only realistic to accept that sometimes a pokemon's personality and goals, and those of a trainer or breeder might not match. Or that they might grow apart over time. I want my pokemon to be happy, but I think that sometimes I cannot provide them with what they need to be happy. And when it comes down to that, I'd rather let them go than selfishly keep them with me.

His personality, it's... It feels like he did a complete 180. When he was still small he was pretty rowdy, but nowhere near this bad. If anything it feels like he's gotten worse since he had a batch of eggs with Vervada, because that's when he started to get uh.

You remember when part of my house up in the mountains ended up taking damage.

I don't think I can push him onto another person like this either.

Perhaps this is normal for his species? Some animals grow more territorial as they get older. Do you think that might be going on here?

If he were a Tyranitar, maybe, but... He was really easy going up until the whole egg thing from awhile back.

I don't think Tyranitars are the only Pokemon who can get territorial. Have you talked to any of the other breeders here? Maybe this is something that happens more commonly with some Pokemon after they have their first batch of eggs.

With how many Pokemon I've bred, wouldn't that have come up before?

Maybe it only happens with certain types or personalities? Sorry, I'm only trying to offer possible causes. I might be completely off base here.

sometimes i've thought about releasing swim shady (my gyarados)
not because i don't like him or because he's trying to get away but because we never really

I've got a couple that are like that now that I think about it more.
It's not as if I treated them badly, but some of them don't really listen to me? Nidhogg aside, I've even got a Tyranitar that I'm surprised hasn't tried to kill me yet with how moody she gets.

I'm honestly just not sure what to do with some of them though. Some I could let go, but I don't know where or how to do that. Others... I'm not sure if I'd want to let something like Herja run wild up here.
