[ As the video opens we see the cabin of a ship. Cozy but with some basic amenities like most hotel rooms. The difference here is there are dog pokemon in each bed, and sitting on the chairs at the table. The Camera then cuts and the next image is a pool on one of the ships decks. Each of the pool chairs has a dog pokemon on it and there are some playing in the pool with the other passengers.]
I'm just saying? It's a good thing you guys are so chill with people taking their pokemon literally every where because we brought ALL the dogs with us on this little vacation.
[She spins the camera around and she's lounging at a table with a fruity drink, sunglasses and a broad brimmed sun hat trying to protect herself from sunburn. She has an Espeon sitting at the table with her and as she smiles to start talking it sips from a straw sticking out of the drink.]
So Jinx here, Sakura looking fabulous now that she's evolved isn't she?
[The Espeon looks smug and wiggles a little full of herself.]
Diana and I decided to finally make our way out to the islands for awhile. I'm sure I could just read the books about it but I figured I'd offer you guys some input.
For those of you who have been there before or who live there now: what do you love about the Islands?
What would you recommend for newcomers?
And most importantly, what are the best foods to try at each island?
While we're at it...how many of you have like...settled down and gotten houses and stuff since you arrived? How did you decide where to live?
I've been here almost two years living out of backpacks and it's something that's been in the back of my mind.

Which I guess is kinda stupid, and it's not like I'd do that in the world I'm from- but like- this place isn't as big as the Earth back home. And people have definitely explored this place front to back already themselves, you know? There's so much weird and cool stuff just. Everywhere, here. And I wanna see it all.
no subject
It's not the stupidest thing I've heard. Honestly the way this world is set up it kind of encourages that behavior. I mean I've done a bit of traveling back home but nothing like this. Walking from town to town, occasionally using a pokemon or bike to get there faster. There were some weeks where we'd stay in one place just because we were getting lazy.
[Or you know...miserably depressed. Whatever.]

I think before I start, like, making plans to travel the world, I'm definitely gonna invest in getting some ride Pokemon. I was not built for hiking, man.
no subject
But each town has a few little gems here and there. Like in Kanto Pewter city has these restaurants that they built specifically to get a great view of the mountains. Dining in a beautiful setting makes the food digest better or something?
I'm guessing the islands have their own awesome food. When we were there for that big party a few months back the room service was top notch.
I honestly thought I was in better shape for travel. Turns out acrobatics and sprinting around doesn't prepare you for hiking. Thankfully one of the first pokemon I caught was a Ponyta.
no subject
I've been thinking about getting a Ponyta! Especially since there's that ranch on the path from Olivine to Goldenrod- I meant to stop there when I left Goldenrod but it completely slipped my mind.
no subject
Have you ever ridden a horse before? If not you might want to get a few lessons before you pick your pokemon.
no subject
I was never, like, great at it though? And I spent most of my time there with the zoomed side of the vet school, anyway. So I probably do need some pointers, so I don't get kicked or thrown off.
Or burned.
no subject
Most Ponyta that I've seen though are plenty smart enough to not burn their trainers so you shouldn't have to worry.
video
[The Drapion can be seen behind Boone, and he roars in agreement.]
Don't mind living on the road myself, but I think that's because I'm used to it. Would be nice to settle down somewhere, but I'd want it to be in a bigger city. Easier access to supplies.
Re: video
I agree. I've always been more of a city girl myself. But I've gotten more comfortable with nature. Kinda have to if you're gonna go through the caves and forests here.
But having a home base really comes in handy. If only so you can stash your stuff somewhere other then a computer.

[Even if you're not going to be there for a good long while, it's nice to know it's there if you want to go back.]

Were you some kind of criminal on the run?
[Because that is so her jam.]

[As a supervillain wannabe Jinx had to imagine a few scenarios where the end of the world would come and go. She didn't exactly relish the idea.]
Did you keep that promise? I mean before you got stolen away to this peaceful poke paradise?

[He says it with a small smile, though there's something slightly sad about it. Elle is still his friend, almost like a sister to him, but she's important now and has things to do across the wasteland.]
no subject
[Or less nice depending on how much he wants the girl to move on without him.]
no subject
[He doesn't really want Elle to move on entirely, but he knows he's bad news. If he sticks around her, she'll only have something bad happen to her. That's what being around Boone does.]
Don't mind being here, though. Even without her. Would be nice if she showed up, but I'm doing okay.
[Which is more than he ever thought would happen.]
[action]
Don't get jealous of my dogs, cat lady.
Re: [action]
[She laughs all the same because...eh who cares. She'll find another one.]
Can't blame me for getting jealous. You adore them.
[action]
[At that moment, two of the largest Rockruffs, probably Skittle and Taffy, run over and paw gently at her bare legs. From an over filled plate in her other hand she drops some bacon strips into their waiting mouths.]
Re: [action]
[She gestures at the bacon munching dogs with a broad grin.]
All hail the Canine Queen.
[action]
[The hounds finish chewing and lick their lips before bounding away.]
If you want me to toss bacon into your mouth I'll do it. But you better catch it. At least I know those guys won't waste food.
[At the word 'queen' she bristles.]
I hope you have someone with Surf for when I toss you overboard.
Re: [action]
[Was that flirting? That was sort of flirting. Jinx is terrible at flirting. Then when she sees she's touched a nerve she offers an apologetic grin.]
I mean yeah I do? But Trixie likes you better so they'd probably just let me drown.
[action]
Coming up on 2 years and that's what you've got?
[action]
But that doesn't mean I'm gonna stop trying.
[Before leaning in to plant a kiss on her cheek.]
But if you have any requests I'm always open to it.
[action]
[Diana rolls her eyes but accepts the affection without another taunt... about the kiss anyway.]
Think we'll finally get some colour on you?
Re: [action]
Can you imagine what I'd look like with a golden tan? I'm not sure how it would look with my hair. I'd have to color it or something.
[action]
[A long smirk.]
Let's try it.
Re: [action]
[ But she's sure her hair has to be strong enough to survive a little teasing and chemical torture. After all she's always taken care of it.]
But if it's a huge mistake you've gotta help me put it back. Or at least salvage it.
[action]
Video
I didn't want to go to the islands....
No, actually, I really didn't. And don't. Not too big on beaches right now, had a...bad run in with a water type recently. Did not go my way.
Bring me back shit.
Re: Video
Wait what happened? Did that gang of rogue Squirtles come back to your card store?
Video
Eh, I don't wanna talk about it. Battle went bad, it happens. You know how many fire types I got.
[Because Jack's not about to mention the vaudevillian levels of comic disaster that was his last major Rocket mission. Fuck the ocean, seriously.]
Re: Video
[Among other reasons, mostly involving obedience.]
Yeah? Well it can happen to anyone. It's not the first time you've had to pick yourself back up right?
That's sort of what we've been doing too. But it's like...what do you do when you go from having a ton of ambition to not wanting to do much of anything?
Video
What do you do when you don't wanna do anything? I dunno....drugs?
no subject
My body is a temple thank you. Nothing stronger then weed...or that magic pie I ate one time and almost got eaten by a witch because of it.
Here's hoping the island gives me some inspiration.
no subject
You know what you do with a temple? You stick cool shit in it to make whatever's upstairs really happy.
no subject
Exactly how many drugs have you done in your well lived life pops?
no subject
All of'em, cupcake. All the friggin drugs.
