[ As the video opens we see the cabin of a ship. Cozy but with some basic amenities like most hotel rooms. The difference here is there are dog pokemon in each bed, and sitting on the chairs at the table. The Camera then cuts and the next image is a pool on one of the ships decks. Each of the pool chairs has a dog pokemon on it and there are some playing in the pool with the other passengers.]

I'm just saying? It's a good thing you guys are so chill with people taking their pokemon literally every where because we brought ALL the dogs with us on this little vacation.

[She spins the camera around and she's lounging at a table with a fruity drink, sunglasses and a broad brimmed sun hat trying to protect herself from sunburn. She has an Espeon sitting at the table with her and as she smiles to start talking it sips from a straw sticking out of the drink.]

So Jinx here, Sakura looking fabulous now that she's evolved isn't she?

[The Espeon looks smug and wiggles a little full of herself.]

Diana and I decided to finally make our way out to the islands for awhile. I'm sure I could just read the books about it but I figured I'd offer you guys some input.

For those of you who have been there before or who live there now: what do you love about the Islands?
What would you recommend for newcomers?
And most importantly, what are the best foods to try at each island?

While we're at it...how many of you have like...settled down and gotten houses and stuff since you arrived? How did you decide where to live?

I've been here almost two years living out of backpacks and it's something that's been in the back of my mind.

I like, definitely haven't settled down yet, but I've been thinking about when I'll do that. I liked Goldenrod a lot, but I dunno- I feel like I've got to see everywhere first before I decide?

Which I guess is kinda stupid, and it's not like I'd do that in the world I'm from- but like- this place isn't as big as the Earth back home. And people have definitely explored this place front to back already themselves, you know? There's so much weird and cool stuff just. Everywhere, here. And I wanna see it all.

Well you do want to weigh your options. After all each city has its own personality, charm...food.

It's not the stupidest thing I've heard. Honestly the way this world is set up it kind of encourages that behavior. I mean I've done a bit of traveling back home but nothing like this. Walking from town to town, occasionally using a pokemon or bike to get there faster. There were some weeks where we'd stay in one place just because we were getting lazy.

[Or you know...miserably depressed. Whatever.]

Ok, you know what, that's an important question- what place has the best food? You're way more traveled than me, you've gotta have some recommendations there. I've mostly been surviving off of as many snacks as I can shove into my bag.

I think before I start, like, making plans to travel the world, I'm definitely gonna invest in getting some ride Pokemon. I was not built for hiking, man.

I mean in my experience you can't go wrong with Olivine. The amount of options in that town is staggering. And some of the best seafood in Johto.

But each town has a few little gems here and there. Like in Kanto Pewter city has these restaurants that they built specifically to get a great view of the mountains. Dining in a beautiful setting makes the food digest better or something?

I'm guessing the islands have their own awesome food. When we were there for that big party a few months back the room service was top notch.

I honestly thought I was in better shape for travel. Turns out acrobatics and sprinting around doesn't prepare you for hiking. Thankfully one of the first pokemon I caught was a Ponyta.

Good thing I'm hanging out in Olivine right now, then! You're right- the seafood's great around here. And I'll keep that Pewter City place in mind whenever I head that way.

I've been thinking about getting a Ponyta! Especially since there's that ranch on the path from Olivine to Goldenrod- I meant to stop there when I left Goldenrod but it completely slipped my mind.

I do love Sugar. She takes good care of things. Loyal and powerful if you train them right you can't go wrong with a Ponyta.

Have you ever ridden a horse before? If not you might want to get a few lessons before you pick your pokemon.

I have! It's been a looong time, though- like, back in college. I did a few internships with the vet school on campus, mostly with patient care- they had a lot of livestock and equine stuff, so I got some experience with them, got to ride a few of the resident horses.

I was never, like, great at it though? And I spent most of my time there with the zoomed side of the vet school, anyway. So I probably do need some pointers, so I don't get kicked or thrown off.

Or burned.

Well you'll wanna make sure you take your time. Keep her calm, keep her happy. Let her practice a bit...and maybe invest in some fire proof gloves.

Most Ponyta that I've seen though are plenty smart enough to not burn their trainers so you shouldn't have to worry.

Yeah, I'm glad you can take pokemon with you pretty much anywhere. Pointy doesn't like being left behind.

[The Drapion can be seen behind Boone, and he roars in agreement.]

Don't mind living on the road myself, but I think that's because I'm used to it. Would be nice to settle down somewhere, but I'd want it to be in a bigger city. Easier access to supplies.

[Jinx laughs because seems like most of the pokemon are plenty clingy and eager to stick to their trainers like glue.]

I agree. I've always been more of a city girl myself. But I've gotten more comfortable with nature. Kinda have to if you're gonna go through the caves and forests here.

But having a home base really comes in handy. If only so you can stash your stuff somewhere other then a computer.

Yeah. Never really been one for big cities personally, but I get that they're useful. And it's kinda nice to have somewhere to call your own.

[Even if you're not going to be there for a good long while, it's nice to know it's there if you want to go back.]

So what kinda place did you live in back in your home world? Or did you just constantly travel around?

Were you some kind of criminal on the run?

[Because that is so her jam.]

Heh, no, I wasn't a criminal. Lived in the Mojave wasteland. Called that because 200 years ago, there was a nuclear war and the world went to hell. I moved around a lot because I promised a friend I'd watch their back while they travelled. Pretty dangerous out there.

Ooo post apocalyptic huh? That sounds rough.

[As a supervillain wannabe Jinx had to imagine a few scenarios where the end of the world would come and go. She didn't exactly relish the idea.]

Did you keep that promise? I mean before you got stolen away to this peaceful poke paradise?

Yeah, I kept it. Looked out for her. We saved each other's lives a few times. She doesn't really need me anymore, so I guess it's not too bad that I got brought here.

[He says it with a small smile, though there's something slightly sad about it. Elle is still his friend, almost like a sister to him, but she's important now and has things to do across the wasteland.]

Hey everyone deserves a break. And I think from what it sounds like when you get sent back it'll be at the exact moment you left so...you'll get to keep on keeping on with them. Won't that be nice?

[Or less nice depending on how much he wants the girl to move on without him.]

Yeah, that would be nice.

[He doesn't really want Elle to move on entirely, but he knows he's bad news. If he sticks around her, she'll only have something bad happen to her. That's what being around Boone does.]

Don't mind being here, though. Even without her. Would be nice if she showed up, but I'm doing okay.

[Which is more than he ever thought would happen.]

[Diana strolls by in her summer dress and swipes the drink right form Jinx's hand for a sip.]

[She laughs all the same because...eh who cares. She'll find another one.]

Can't blame me for getting jealous. You adore them.

What? Ew, no. Who told you that?

[At that moment, two of the largest Rockruffs, probably Skittle and Taffy, run over and paw gently at her bare legs. From an over filled plate in her other hand she drops some bacon strips into their waiting mouths.]

Should I point out that you barely even share food with me and yet...

[She gestures at the bacon munching dogs with a broad grin.]

All hail the Canine Queen.

[The hounds finish chewing and lick their lips before bounding away.]

If you want me to toss bacon into your mouth I'll do it. But you better catch it. At least I know those guys won't waste food.

I've come to accept that my style of flirting is never going to make you swoon.

[Diana rolls her eyes but accepts the affection without another taunt... about the kiss anyway.]

Can you imagine what I'd look like with a golden tan? I'm not sure how it would look with my hair. I'd have to color it or something.

Maybe we should dye you blonde. Wonder how your hair would react... What if it all chemical burns off?
