attack on voltron reunion house: extra special dlc edition
Who: Marco, Jean, Bertolt + the residents of Attack on Voltron island house.
Where: Attack on Voltron Island
When: 10/20/18.
Summary: The (dead) boys are back in town.
Rating: PG-13 for talk of death and language.
Log:
[ it should surprise very little of the people on the island when the familiar sound of stomping arrives, and that, soon after following that, carefully navigated through most of the trees on the island, Fiddleford's CoffeeS and Banjo's traincar comes crashing through in front of the house, before settling down with a fwump.
the first thing to emerge is a vulpix, emitting a loud bark before she darts out of the traincar like her very icy tail is on fire. the next thing is marco bott, and he steps down as well, clearly happy to get out of the locomotive(?).
he raises his hand to cover his eyes, as viola the vulpix darts back over to him, running around in a circle before skidding to a stop. ]
Oh, wow.
[ he says it to his travel companions who are emerging, but it could easily be heard by someone investigating the noise. ]
You didn't tell me the trees looked this weird!
[ sometime later ]
[ if your character wasn't there or didn't come out for the crashing and stomping about, marco has taken up residence out in the front yard, a sentret and a pumpkaboo both in front of him. he seems to be trying to train them against each other, but letting them break frequently to explore.
when he sees someone, he immediately waves - and if he doesn't know you, he'll introduce himself. ]
Hello, I'm Marco. I'm one of Jean, Bertolt, Armin, Annie, and Sasha's friends.
[ ooc: please feel free to use this as a general post for shenanigans with jean and bertolt too! ]

Instead, he stays crouched, looking at the flowers and resting his hands on his knees. At least, he does until Blume makes her way over, and then he gives a smile to her, offering a hand for her to examine.
"I'm guessing one of them is this lovely lady."
no subject
Blume sniffs Marco's hand, then ducks underneath it and pushes her head into his palm. Yes, you pass inspection, make with the petting now.
"Yeah, this is Blume." Jean crouches next to Marco and starts scratching behind Blume's ear. "She's in charge around here."
no subject
"She looks cool. What kind of a Pokemon is she?"
no subject
Blume rumbles in agreement: you should have seen him before, Freckles. This one was a hot mess.
"She's a Venusaur! This is what a Bulbasaur grows up to be."
no subject
"A Venusaur, huh?" Put that on the list of Pokemon that Marco might try to get one day. "Well, she looks fantastic, and she keeps a garden my mom would envy."
no subject
Blume purrs, pleased with Marco's praise, and reaches one of her vines up to pat his cheek. She doesn't have any suitors at the moment, darling, but if she does any time in the near future, she'll be happy to set aside an egg for you. She'll make you the finest little Bulbasaur you've ever seen! Very loyal, Bulbasaurs, and excellent at gardening.
Jean chuckles. "She's a good girl. One of the early additions to my team, and helped keep us going when I was just starting out."
no subject
Marco gives a little giggle when Blume pats his cheek. "Why thank you," he tells her - he may not know she's promising him an egg, but he knows a compliment when he gets it. He gives her another little pet before he rests his hands on his knees.
"So she's not just great at gardens, she's pretty tough too. She's a grass type, right?"
Latte is part Grass type, and he thinks they might get along.
no subject
"Yeah! Blume helped a lot with some tough battles back when I was first starting out." Blume blushes and demurely covers her face with some of her vines. "But now she mostly stays here and keeps an eye on the garden and other grass types."
Which reminds him... "Why don't you let Latte out? He can meet Blume, and all the other grass Pokemon around here."
no subject
Latte floats above the ground, giving a small Boo! of greeting. Her eyes light up when she sees the flora around her, and then when she spots the Venusaur, trilling in joy.
no subject
Jean chuckles. "See? I told you she's in charge here. Don't worry about Latte; as long as she's with Blume, nothing will happen to her."
Not that anything would, not in this peaceful garden, but just in case Marco was concerned.
no subject
Marco gives a little laugh, looking at the two of them, and he reaches up to pet Latte's ears, and then Blume's, before standing.
"I'm not worried," he assures Jean, smiling and looking around again. "This place really is so different from home."
no subject
Jean just shakes his head, but he's smiling. "See? Everyone else would ask permission; she just went."
But he waves as they walk away; Latte is in good hands/paws/vines.
"It's so much better." Jean looks out across the beach, at the gently lapping waves, then back at the garden and all the milling Grass Pokemon, and finally back at Marco. "Better in all the ways that matter."
no subject
Marco looks out at the beach, missing the way Jean looks back at him for the moment. He's smiling, and while it's not a wholly unfamiliar look on him - there's an air of carefreeness to it that was missing back home. He's not smiling and wondering when the next training is. Or how they're going to get out of this troublesome situation. Instead, he's simply relaxed.
And then he looks over to Jean, grinning. "You realize that someone is going to have to show me how to swim."
no subject
Jean brightens in disbelief when Marco speaks up again. "What? Didn't they have some cow holes in Jinae that you could swim around in?"
He kids, he kids. "C'mon, let's get you a pair of trunks! I can teach you!"
no subject
Seriously, Jean. He knows you're kidding, but he still protests. Still, when Jean offers, his expression brightens.
"That sounds like fun. Do you have a pair I can borrow?"
Jean might be narrow, but they're probably of a width enough now that they could get away with it.
no subject
Bertolt's will be too long, Jean's will be too tight. Choose wisely, Marco.
"You can meet all the water Pokemon!"
Including Fisch. Everyone needs to meet Fisch.
no subject
Too tight is better than might fall off. That's Marco's reasoning.
"How many water pokemon do we have around here?" He asks out loud, grinning. He's glad Viola and Latte have other Pokemon to accompany them for the moment.
no subject
clothesswim trunks have on them."Depends on who you're asking." Jean grins right back. "I only have a few. Armin has half the ocean."
no subject
"Come on, I wanna change. I wanna learn how to swim!" He's far more enthusiastic about this than he let on.
no subject
Jean can hear the enthusiasm in Marco's voice, and picks up the pace back to the house. "So let's go!"
