[It'd taken Doreen a few hours to introduce herself over the gear. Mostly because she wanted to be sure Arcade hadn't kidnapped Emma and used the Inhuman's power to stuff her in a videogame. Again. The lack of imminent death helped convince her something else entirely was going on. She supposed it could always be Mojo trying to start up a new reality show, but there wasn't any real evidence for it.]
[When she does decide to introduce herself to the world at large, it's on the deck of the ferry to Kanto, her Pachirisu on her shoulder and the Sentret she caught before she left New Bark Town by her side.]
What's the haps, guys? I'm Doreen Green and these are my new friend Sparks McGee and Gruff Mongo. I'm sort of new here, in case you couldn't tell. I used to play the games all the time when I was a kid, though. Nice to meet everybody, even if I technically haven't met anybody yet since I'm just talking into the void here and hoping somebody responds.
...So, random off-the-wall question. Are missing body-parts a thing around here? Not that I'm missing any. [She definitely wasn't normally a part-squirrel superhero with a giant fluffy squirrel tail that was now gone. Why would you even think that?] Just seems like crossing the boundary that divides one universe from another might be a thing that results in missing body-parts.

We've learned to live with it, and it just comes and goes on a few days twice a year.
Oh and I'm Yayoi Kise, I'm a trainer and I've been here two years already.
Re: video
...Or at least it sounds like it stinks. I definitely didn't have any powers. Except girl powers, comp-sci powers, and dual citizenship powers. And as as cool as they are I don't think they count.
Has anybody found a way back home yet? Getting to do a Pokémon journey is super-cool and everything? But I have mid-terms. [And also fighting crime.]
Re: video
Most of us have some kind of weird world we're from or powers or something, so keeping secrets here isn't much of an issue since no one remembers this world when we go back, or so they say.
And no, there was a rumor from the old times that clearing the league would send you home, but that's a long, debunked rumor.

That makes you the second person I know who played the games like this place when they were younger. As for your question, people have been made to look very specifically like humans here do, which could mean appendages disappearing, or prosthesis being changes to be technology friendly for this place. Species has been altered on more than one occasion to fit the mold of "human" as defined by this place.

You'll have to train to get it back, but people adapt quickly. Be persistent.

No, it's...normally I have a tail. A big, awesome, fluffy squirrel tail.

There is no war in Ba Sing Se]A what tail?
[It's not that she used to have one that's causing dissonance; it's that Jean has never heard of squirrels.]

[Because otherwise that question is very weird.]
The name's Captain Ash, by the way. Welcome to your very own Pokémon adventure, Doreen.
Re: [video]
Kinda? I fought a guy from one once, but I've never been. Unless you count the Negative Zone, and that's mostly just an anti-matter universe that's attached to mine.

[Hello fellow super. How goes it.
Shoto's taking a break from training, for once, though the Emolga perched on his shoulder looks itching to get going again.]
I think that's one of the more disorienting things personally.
Re: [Video]
But I can still speak squirrel, though, so it's not like everything's gone nuts. Speaking of, hey there girl! What's your name?
Speak squirrel..?
[On his shoulder, the Emolga perks up slightly.]
I'm Current! This is Shoto--he's kind of awkward but good.

Does a whole species change count as missing body parts?
My partner came in as an android. Had to get used to being human pretty quick.
[She's handling waking up in a strange lady's house with a lot more level-headedness than he did.]

And here I've been complaining about a missing tail. At least I don't have to worry about brand new bodily functions coming with it.

[Hank might sound like he enjoyed Connor's adventures in dealing with being a human. But he's also since admitted that he kind of misses when he was an android.]
....I wish I could be surprised by someone missing a tail. [He misses that novelty.] I bet that's hell on your balance.

[Ooph, this girl's got teeth to rival (but not outdo) Doreen's for sure, and right now she's grimacing with a bit of worry. Who starts out their introduction implying they may be missing part of their body?]
Re: [Video]

[It says a lot that Jane's time here has dulled her reaction from immediate skepticism to oh dear, that's a shame.]
Well I'm glad there's no injury, at least. This place does sort of put a damper on anything supernatural that we might be able to do, though. That might be a factor in, erm...not having a large squirrel tail?

Second, yeah the base line is human here so no wings, tails, claws, fins or whatever else you were missing.
And unfortunately that also goes for magic or I would be absolutely WRECKING the competition in each Pokemon Contest.
[Speaking of, Jinx is sitting in a pokemon center grooming a Furfrou so it's fur matches her hair.]
Re: [Video]
And I don't know about that. If my friend Loki were here he'd probably be pretty stiff competition.

*the pokemon deserve greetings too, after all!*
And that depends on what sort of body parts you mean. If you weren't human before, for example, you'd find yourself transformed into one upon arrival. Which, if you were something that had a tail or such, would mean losing that.
