If all your numbers go over ten, then shouldn't you be using a higher number for the maximum?

That wouldn't help, it's percentage based.

Several carefully chosen categories.

Are they a Pokémon? Yes.
Are they a good Pokémon? All Pokémon are good Pokémon. Yes.
Is anybody supposed to take this seriously? No.

Why are they given fractions?

They aren't fractions. Well, technically they *are* fractions, but it's actually a rating system. I'm rating people's Poké:mon according to highly scientific criteria.

So you're using fractions to rate them as greater than one according to scientific criteria?

It's more percentage based.

Also you're putting way too much thought into an ad-hoc system for rating cute Pokémon than you really need to.

I think I'm still trying to understand why you wanted an arbitrary rating system. Is just sharing the photographs not enough?

It's my personal opinion that Magikarp and Gyarados are some of the best Pokemon out there.

I might put up ratings for mine later. It just seemed a little narcissistic to start with them, y'know? They all already know I love them to bits anyways.

Perhaps you should look into being a contest judge. Are there any kind of pokemon that have your preference?

I think that requires some objectivity. And while the idea that all Pokemon are awesome is *extremely* objective, it's probably not the point of view they'd be looking for.

I really like squirrels and pretty much all of the rodent ones, though.

Really? I mean, not that there is anything wrong with them. It just feels like most people don't really notice or appreciate rodent pokemon all that much.

That happens with most actual rodents too. I think they're they're pretty cool.

Hey, I know that Growlithe! I'm glad he finally found a partner in the academy! He was so shy and insecure when he first hatched with us and he never did quite bond with any of the Jennies when I brought him over to them and the last time I saw him he was still on his own.

That's such a relief to hear. If he's anything like his father he'll be great. Doubly so if they both make the decision to evolve. I signed up for the academy awhile back with mine just to see how he'd do and he made a pretty good impression on them.

If you see them again, tell them that Marcel is going to be very proud.

I absolutely bet that Growlithe will be either catching criminals or being the world's best couch potato in no time. Possibly both. I've met several police dogs that do both well.

My Rockruff's probably going to end up being both. Diefenbaker's just named after a police dog, though, so that's not exactly the same thing.

Actually, I named my Popplio 'Ray' and my partner's Houndour 'Benton'. So I know where that comes from.

I've been working on a rescue service to help find lost pokemon and kids. I've rescue trained three of my dogs. Tubbs, Hunter, and Luann.

Dang, that's a great idea. Let me know if I can help. I can't understand every species of Pokémon, but the ones I can understand can translate for the ones I can't.

I'll probably take you up on that. Especially since I'm just one guy in one town at a time.

There might not be much 'wrong' with this place, but lost kids and pokemon still get scared. That's reason enough for me to lend a hand.

Dang, top marks for the Magikarp, huh? Well, that oughta be a boost for the morale, anyway.

But hey, if she's really that tough, bet she'll make one heck of a Gyarados.

She's pretty great. And my friend Ken really likes fish, so I've learned to appreciate them. Not as much as squirrels, but I think I can get away with a little bit of bias.

Heh. If you're into squirrels, you ever catch a Pachirisu?

...Come to think of it, there really aren't many other squirrels out there. Funny, since we've got like a million cats, dogs, and fish.

My starter's a Pachirisu! But there's more than just them. There's Emolga and Pikachu. Plus Patrat's pretty clearly a prairie dog, which are in the same family. And Sentret's not quite a squirrel, more like a squirrel-mustelid hybrid? They're close enough for me to understand them, though.

Right, other rodents. Dunno how I forgot about Sentret, though, since that's pretty blatantly a flying squirrel.

...Or whatever a mustelid is. Really oughta brush up on my biology.
