[video] The stars are brightly shining...

[When the 'gear starts broadcasting, all that can be seen is a view of a beach, stars shining on the horizon. After a moment, it turns, showing a red-haired man lying on his back on a beachtowel, hands behind his head, staring up at the stars.

What Matt doesn't know is that Venus and Kerberos are conspiring to bring his introspection to the network.]

I never realized how odd it was to see different stars. They're seen as constants, as something that's always there and never changing. But... when you see an entirely different positioning, it's like everything's off somehow.

The stars here are so close to home that it's almost familiar, but different enough to be unsettling. I wonder...

[Any more introspection is cut off by a quiet snicker from Venus, and Matt sitting up.]

Hey! Both of you! Stop that! Ugh. How much were you filming....

[The feed cuts off quickly, before it starts rolling back to the house.]

Maybe. If that's the case, their efforts seem to have paid off at least!

[Angel squints thoughtfully. Awhile back, she could have pulled up the answer with a simple thought. Now she has to rely on her memory.]

You don't need to apologize. The curiosity is a familiar sentiment -- many of my friends were the same way.

I believe it was the result of an ambitious mining effort gone too far. It... resulted in a great many casualties, from what I understand.
