[Video] [005]
[The video isn't immediately focused on Connor today, instead it's focused on a Swanna. Said Swanna is in the process of sneaking up behind Hank, wings flared, and she pecks at his ankles (earning an "ow, what the fuck!") before realising the camera is on her. Then she hides her face behind a wing, demure as anything.]
Everyone saw that, you know.
[The camera shifts closer to her, and she waddles off to hide. Almost as soon as the focus is off her? There's another swear from Hank, followed by a deep sigh.]
Well, I was hoping being seen by everyone would make her stop. She's quite shy usually. Does anyone with a Swanna have this problem? Hank doesn't like birds as it is, I don't want to have to keep her in her ball all of the time just to stop her from doing this. Bribing her with food isn't working.
And I suppose I'll ask while I'm here, does anyone have any recommendations for dark or psychic type pokemon? I have a Kadabra, a Houndoom and an Alolan Meowth. And if anyone has a Carvanha or Lileep that they wouldn't mind breeding, I'd like to know.
[Connor likes to just chase after certain pokemon to train up sometimes.]

[The Sableye seems like it would be good too, but taking on three new pokemon at once seems like it might be challenging. Especially if he's going to start training his Staryu and Kadabra, too. He likes to keep a few slots in his party free for his three main pokemon, so it's already going to be a lot of switching around.]
How much would you want for the eggs? And if you'd talk to her I'd appreciate it. I can only talk to my Magnezone, I'm not sure I could do the same with her.

[Yes. It's that simple.]
I can do that! Whenever you're ready, of course.

[That shiny will be a surprise to Connor.]
Here, let me-
[He adjusts the camera and sets it on Odette, who has taken to preening herself on the bed as if she owns the place. She tilts her head at the camera, and lets out a confused little noise.]

Hello there, dear, my name is Botan. Your trainer is concerned about your habit of ankle pecking. Is it all right if I ask why you do that?
[Of course it sounds understandable to Connor as well, and she's ready to translate whatever Odette says as is usual for these types of conversations.]

Connor tilts his head as she makes those snorting and grunting noises, then looks to Botan.]
What did she say?

[And she's nodding like she genuinely understands Odette's conundrum and, honestly, she kinda does. It's pretty typical for multiples in a family to feel lost in the shuffle.]
She said for one thing, it's fun--that's easy enough just find something to redirect her energy on. Something not living. That might take time though so you might want to consider her other reason: it's for your attention. Your Swanna thinks your Magnezone gets more affection from you and she feels left out. Not to say you meant for that to happen, not at all! But communicating to her, even if you can't understand what she's saying, that it's not the case would do well with relieving those feelings.

No, I didn't mean to do that at all. It probably just seems like we're closer because Crockett was my first Pokemon. That doesn't mean I want anyone to feel left out, though.
[He feels like he's quite capable of loving his Pokemon equally.]
Thank you for talking to her. I'll have to think of something we can do together. Hopefully she'll stop pecking Hank after that.

[He seems like a nice young man anyway, so of course Botan would never think he was doing it on purpose!]
It's not a problem, I'm always happy to help!
