[ he's not into showing his face off. once he verifies there's a public network and an audio option, he begins to opt for that. but then he looks at all the videos of people and their pokemon, and decides o a different option.

the video opens on the sandy beaches of cherrygrove. his rockruff, bandit, is in the surf, chasing what looks like a stick. he brings it back to jack, who pets his head and then throws it again. his location will also ping as cherrygrove. ]

The name's Jack.

[ his voice is distinctly older, and very rough. it sounds like he may have damaged his throat at some point in his life. his hand, when he throws the stick or pets bandit, is gloved. ]

I've been looking around this place and it looks like the consensus is that people can't go home on their own. I'm not here to ask how to get home, since it seems like that's been covered pretty well.

I wanna talk to those of you that have gone home, or know people that did. And... for those that don't, how you're dealing with not being able to.

[ he ends the video on that note, throwing the stick again for bandit. ]

[ for those actually in his vicinity, they can likely hear jack make the post. other than that, he's spending some time on the beach, playing with bandit and getting his energy out. he's just as open to a battle if you two have similarly leveled pokemon.

or maybe bandit, with all his energy, comes running up to your pokemon and headbutts them. at which point jack follows. ]

I have no idea what a skag is - but if it works in corporate it can't be very good to begin with.

I've never heard of Pandora, either. Bandits and talking robots that turn into shields?

Skags are spiky puke dogs! The corporate ones are all barf and no bite.

Pandora's a planet! Out in the Borderlands where laws are just suggestions and almost anyone'd kill their grandma for a dollar!

You're talking multiple planets, right - like space travel type stuff?

Nope! Nothin' even close to a Skag!

[Lucarios are kind of spiky and kind of dog-like, but Krieg's is so well-behaved and has never vomited, ever, in its life, so the vague resemblance doesn't even occur to him.]

It'd be a weird Borderlands with only one planet!

Too bad. I would have been interested to see what they're like.

[ jack gives a laugh at krieg telling him it'd be weird. ]

Well, where I'm from we're still stuck on one planet and don't have any others to go to. Sounds like the other ones aren't as nice as we'd hoped.

They have round bulging eyes, they're covered in spikes, and they eat and shit from the same hole.

People are good at ruining nice things, or making bad things even worse. Sorry to hear that. Do people stay because they get stuck there, or because there's something worth staying for on Pandora?

Only Vault Hunters go there on purpose! But everybody gets stuck. The army and the industries left their cannon fodder to rot and cannibalism, and Hyperion baits Vault Hunters with sick loot and waits for the bandits to slaughter them.

[It's such a cheerful place, really.]

Well, I'm glad you've managed to survive that place, if it's so shitty.

So what are Vault hunters? Are they treasure hunters? It seems odd to refer to a Vault if that's all you're looking for.

We hunt Vaults! No one knows what's in them until they find them. Sometimes it's treasure! And sometimes it's a giant lava-puking monster!

...The monster was my favorite.

I'm not sure I'd be cut out for a place like that. But it sounds like you guys have a lot to do when you're looking for them.

Most people aren't! But that's okay.

I had fun while I was there but I don't miss it. This place is better.
