[As the gear crackles to life you can see there is a tired looking woman sitting on a stump. She appears to be taking a break on one of the routes.]

Yes, this appears to be broadcasting after all. Very well. Let us try this, little one.

[There is a floating Solosis who floats into view who is probably the one she was speaking to before she looks at the screen. When she speaks it is with a thick German accent.]

I am Dr. Brigid Tenenbaum, I was told to try this device to perhaps get more answers then I have received from the locals in the strange town I woke up in yesterday.

If there is a way back home, I would very much like to know it. I was in the middle of a very important project before I was taken here and I am needing to return to it soon.

However, if such a thing is unknown then if anyone has information on what this world uses pokemon breeders for I would be most grateful. It appears I am one and while I suppose my studies of genetics may be helpful with such things, I refuse to do this work unless I know what the results may be used for.

Greetings, everyone. I have recently come in possession of an additional Shuckle, and have thus taken it upon myself to breed my Shuckle together. I am seeking to introduce this unusual fungus creature into the competitive battle scene, and from previous tests, it seems that utilizing an effective strategy can cause these creatures to become absolute powerhouses. These Shuckle hatch with their entire moveset at their disposal. Thus, it would take little work for them to become incredibly viable members on your team.

In addition to Shuckle, I have taken the time to breed several other Pokémon in my possession, if anyone is interested in them. Some eggs have been taken already, but there are still several Lileep, Clauncher, and Venipede eggs available. There are also Ghost-type Pokémon of varying species. I must warn you, however--the Shuppet may not be suitable for children under the age of 14. Or any age.

[The video feed opens to a strange sight. A bird's yellow head peeks out from a pile of blankets. The poor thing looks utterly miserable with its eyes screwed tight, and drip of icy mucus hanging from its nostril. Despite being wrapped heavily, it's still shivering. It's hard to see what's underneath, but a stubby tail with a shark like fin at the end peeks out from a blanket. Steve reaches over to tuck it back in.]

So, uh... does anyone know anything about ice types? I've never caught one before, but they're supposed to like the cold, right? I don't want to make it too warm, but it always looks super sick.

I don't know what to do with it.

There has been a quiet buzz all through the city, people scurrying around like a hive of busy Combee getting everything ready. So when the 29th rolls around, it should surprise no one that the city of Celadon is done up in style. Banners and paper lanterns line the freshly cleaned streets, all guiding visitors and residents alike down to the biggest square in town which has become the center of today’s activities.

so like. little over half a year ago ray got me an alolan meowth egg. we all probably know what an alolan meowth looks like- dark gray kitten with a coin on its head and an attitude. mostly looks like a normal cat yknow. its fine

then a couple months later he got me a normal meowth and we all definitely know what that looks like. just a kinda cream color cat with brown paws and a coin on its head. also looks mostly like a cat. and they both look pretty similar to each other right

so can someone please tell me why the pokedex is telling me the egg i got from that legendary hatched into a meowth when it looks like this

[Enclosed is two photos of fluffy little gremlin with sharp fangs and, yes, a coin on its head. Venkman appears to be gingerly holding it by the scruff. In the first image, it appears to be snarling at the camera, one forepaw lifted as if it's about to strike out at the trainer holding it. The second photo is taken from the back. The image is slightly blurrier, as the Galarian Meowth has contorted itself into latching onto Venkman's arm and appears to be in the process of clawing him to pieces.]

[It's about 3:24 AM when a new video is posted to the network. It seems to be a livestream of some sort, though all that's visible for a few moments is a dark room with various indicator lights flashing intermittently.

The light flicks on. A steady burbling noise can be heard from behind the camera, like an aquarium filter malfunctioning. It sounds almost as if words are being spoken underwater, but in a completely alien language. Nothing happens for a few minutes--just the sound of gurgling.

Eventually, the source of the noise is revealed: a Reuniclus floats into view, holding a PokéBall in each hand. She's wearing a pair of glasses on her "face," but they seem to have begun to sink into her cytoplasm. Not that she cares. She continues to "talk" to the camera, her arms waving around and her ears twitching, and despite the fact that one might not understand her, it's very clear what she intends to do--science.

If it's possible for a Reuniclus to grin, she's doing so right now. With a gentle click of the button, the PokéBalls release their inhabitants. Two small, oblong forms manifest on the table, and as the light dissipates, one can see a Pyukumuku and what looks to be...a...yellow, spiky Pyukumuku?

The Pyukumuku looks quite unenthused about this whole situation, while the other one peers around curiously. The Reuniclus's ears twitch in excitement as she digs through a box to pull out a complicated-looking device that's probably very expensive to construct. She lets out a giggle, gesturing to the Pokémon on the table and "explaining" her procedure, before holding the device in front of the Pyukumuku. The Pyukumuku pulls her fist out of her mouth and tightly squeezes the handle of the device. A large number appears on the device--somewhere in the hundreds, probably. The Reuniclus takes back the device then turns to the Pincurchin, waiting for his response.

The Pincurchin studies the device for a few monents, as if trying to figure out his approach. His soines start to glow and spark with electricity as he points them towards the device. The Pyukumuku starts to scoot away, wary. The Reuniclus simply stands her ground, looking fascinated by this.

There's the sound of footsteps approaching the door, causing the Reuniclus to look up sharply. The door opens, and a confused voice speaks--]

What is going on--?

[A flash of light, followed afterwards by a loud ZAP causes the camera feed to static and warp. The room is plunged into darkness. A blobby green hand covers the lens, and the stream stops.]

[Oh hey, It's Armin and he's looking rather harried.]

I know this is a bit of an unusual request, but does anyone have any tips for handling a pokemon who is teething? I know back home they used to say to rub whiskey on a baby's gums, but I'm not sure if that is such a good idea. I haven't--

[Suddenly there is a loud snapping noise, and Armin lets out a soft 'oh no', the camera moving jerkily before it comes to rest on a small Chewtle sitting in the sand by Armin's feet. There is a large branch (though really, it is thick enough that it probably qualifies as a thin tree trunk) snapped in half. The little chewtle lets out an irritated, high-pitched cheee, now that it has been deprived of its chew toy, its short little tail lashing in annoyance behind, before it grabs one of the ends of trunk and starts chewing with wild abandon again, bark and splinters flying.]

Though... at this point, I'd even accept some suggestions on more durable things for him to chew on. I'm worried he might start on my boat next.

[There is a sigh as Armin moves to turn off the camera, and a mutter that sounds suspiciously like 'I'm starting to consider the whiskey.']

[Honestly? Fred's been in a great mood since the Whirl Islands incident. His ropes were a contributing factor to the fight against Lugia, after all!

The downtime following the ordeal also means he's had the chance to take care of the shiny egg he received last month. The results of that egg are the first shot of this video- a shiny Shuckle blinking curiously at the screen.

Fred adjusts the Pokegear after a moment, switching the camera's focus to him. He appears to be sitting on the docks in Olivine City- yes, in the middle of the freezing cold. He's at least got a coat on, but he appears to be wearing his normal clothes under that, ascot and all. The Shuckle sits in his lap.]

I love this city! Ever since that whole thing out on the ocean, all the fisherman and sailors here've been so nice. This really sweet old sailor's been letting me stay with her family, and some of her friends've been hiring me to help repair and build nets and rigging!

I dunno how long I'll stay here... but it's nice. Finally, people who respect the trap-making craft. ... I mean, they mostly just care about the nets, but still! It's good to be appreciated. For once.

[He's not outright saying people gotta apologize to him for doubting him before, but that's absolutely the subtext of this. The sailors around here have definitely inflated his ego a bit.]

Oh, also- this little turtle-thing hatched recently. [The Shuckle lazily waves a limb in greeting.] I've been trying to teach her how to build traps, but I'm not really sure she gets it. She just keeps oozing all over the ropes. But she's got some good moves that'll help with trapping Pokemon in the future!

Anyway, I still haven't figured out a name for her. Anyone have any ideas?

[It's been a while since Ford has made a post of his own to the network. He's been busy with one thing after another. Primarily he's been focused on getting his Aurora League gym all set up and ready to go. More recently there was all the business with the Ultra Beasts and Aether to be dealing with.

Most recently, as a result of that business, he stormed into the Silph Co. building in Saffron and got himself dragged out again by the Jennies. So now here he is in a jail cell on charges of resisting arrest that he probably could have avoided if he wasn't a Pines and didn't have a natural inclination toward crime. Why does he still have his gear? It took him nearly fifteen minutes just to empty out most of his coat pockets and by that time the Jennies were over it.]

Greetings! I have an announcement to make. For those of you who haven't met me, my name is Dr. Stanford Pines, and about a year ago I began construction on the Horizon Gym on Johto Route 36. That construction has finally been completed. The grand opening is going to be postponed until such time as I can post bail. My plan is to have the museum doors unlocked by next Tuesday, with official challenges beginning on the Wednesday after.

[Why did he not wait until that Tuesday (and bail) to make this announcement? Because he's Ford Pines and, like everyone in his family, he can't be contained by a jail for very long. If his crime wasn't so minor he probably would have broken out by now, but relatively it's not worth the effort or the subsequent warrant for re-arrest. It's not like he can dodge that by skipping out on this universe, which used to be his go-to.]

I had planned to do something over Halloween, but as you can imagine those plans fell through. That was really my mistake. Halloween has never gone to plan in this universe and I don't know why I thought it would this year.

In the meantime I will be taking questions because, as you can imagine, I'm incredibly bored.

[He means about the gym-and-museum, but 'why are you in jail' or 'aren't you that guy with the Ninetales I keep seeing memes of' are valid questions.]

It was for a good cause, but it seems a little disappointing we missed out on another Halloween this year. But, I think I've found a way to make up for it.

[The camera moves and soon is aimed at a nice little beach. Despite it being November, it is plenty sunny. The advantage of living on the Sevii Islands. There are... a lot of pumpkins on the beach. Big ones, small ones, some as big as your head. There might very well be as many as four times ten pumpkins! There are also some pokemon. A large Incineroar darts across the sand on all fours, batting at a pumpkin like a kitten would at a ball of yarn. A wizard-hat wearing Psyduck seems to be drawing faces on one of the pumpkins, before showing them off to a towering Golduck.

But mostly. There are Lapras. A lot of Lapras. Several large adults (six for who is counting) and... geez, how many babies is that even? Many of them are wearing different coloured ribbons around the necks. Someone with a good eye can count up to nine ribbon wearing babies and four slightly bigger youngsters without ribbons. And they are all going absolutely crazy over the pumpkins, thrilling cries carrying over the water. Most of the babies have very clearly never seen pumpkins and are examining them curiously. One seems to be trying to stack two of the pumpkins on her shell, but every time she tries to put the second one on her back, the first one rolls off again. A few are using them as balls, batting them around with their flippers. One of the adults has a few babies gathered around her as she uses a few well-timed water guns to juggle a few of the pumpkins in the air. One of the babies has managed to crack open one of the pumpkins and he is pigging out, his round little snout covered with pumpkin guts.

Like what you see? Don't worry. Armin has no problem with leaving the camera rolling and recording more of these antics. Though, he does have one more question.]

Ah, I usually don't do this sort of thing, but with everything going on, I didn't have a chance to pick any yet so... does anyone have any good name suggestions? I've got a lot of babies that still need to be named.

So I have a question for anyone who might still be in the Sevii Islands vicinity.
Have those wormhole creatures left, or are they sticking around?
I mean...after we uncovered that one from the ice, I doubt they'll leave it alone anytime soon - I guess they were just looking for their friend all along.
But now that they're all reunited, it's...kind of concerning to think about, actually! I mean, I don't think there will be any more large-scale rampages like what happened in October (I hope), but this place has to be so different from their homes. For such creatures to come into being, I can't imagine the other side of those wormholes being like anything we've ever seen.
Are they all going to be okay staying here for...I guess however long they need to wait for their friend to recover?
Or, wouldn't it be more prudent if they took their friend home to help them recover?
...
Maybe...if anybody got a good look at all that wormhole stuff at the Foundation, do you think it's possible to send them all home if they can't get back on their own?
After all, we may be here on the whims of things we can't control, but from what I remember seeing it feels like going home is more of a possibility for them! It's only fair to try, right?

[It’s evening when the video opens, the video shows the sun is just about set in a field. It would be almost a calm scene if it wasn’t for Ray grinning like an idiot at the camera. He can barely contain his excitement but he gets himself to speak in a hushed voice.]

So you know those weird dimensional rifts we’ve been getting? The one that’s spewing out those interdimensional beings? Well guess who I found while I went out training today.

[He turns the camera around and OH GOD WHAT IS THAT?

The Stakataka isn’t looking at the camera right now, instead they’re just… gently crouching down and poking at a tiny Pokepuff that Ray presumably gave them.]

Yeah I ran into these guys today, and they’re surprisingly nice! I guess if you’re able to tell them that you don’t mean any harm they don’t want to attack you! Which, I guess that makes sense once you think about it. Sure we wake up in another dimension out of nowhere, but we have the convenience of having people easily explain to us what’s going on and that we’re not in any danger!

Which, I’m not exactly sure this guy over hears understands a word I say. I’ve been trying to communicate with this poor guy but they don’t even respond when I shout “Hey, you!” at them. [True to his word, the Stakataka doesn’t look up from their Pokepuff. Ray looks over fondly at the hulking beast as if it was a newly adopted pet] Still, I like to think I made great progress in a day!

I do miss fighting horrifying ghosts and monsters, don’t get me wrong. I would give anything to fight Cthulhu or the Boogieman again, but it’s nice being able to befriend these guys. It’s not every day you can say that you’re able to befriend a giant sentient rock structure from another dimension.

[The Stakataka suddenly looks up over at Ray, and stomps over to him. If Ray’s worried by him suddenly moving, he doesn’t show it as he just lightly looks over to them. They then lift a large leg aiming right at Ray’s head…

And they gently start patting his head, really delicately that you’d almost think that the Stakataka was terrified of crushing Ray if they put any amount of pressure on him. Ray laughs happily at this.]

See? Stuff like this never happened at home! These guys are really great!

[...Well that happened.]

[His voice may sound... vaguely familiar to some people, either by virtue of him being a cartoon icon for nearly 50 years or how eerily similar he sounds to a certain Ray Stantz.
