[ he's not into showing his face off. once he verifies there's a public network and an audio option, he begins to opt for that. but then he looks at all the videos of people and their pokemon, and decides o a different option.

the video opens on the sandy beaches of cherrygrove. his rockruff, bandit, is in the surf, chasing what looks like a stick. he brings it back to jack, who pets his head and then throws it again. his location will also ping as cherrygrove. ]

The name's Jack.

[ his voice is distinctly older, and very rough. it sounds like he may have damaged his throat at some point in his life. his hand, when he throws the stick or pets bandit, is gloved. ]

I've been looking around this place and it looks like the consensus is that people can't go home on their own. I'm not here to ask how to get home, since it seems like that's been covered pretty well.

I wanna talk to those of you that have gone home, or know people that did. And... for those that don't, how you're dealing with not being able to.

[ he ends the video on that note, throwing the stick again for bandit. ]

[ for those actually in his vicinity, they can likely hear jack make the post. other than that, he's spending some time on the beach, playing with bandit and getting his energy out. he's just as open to a battle if you two have similarly leveled pokemon.

or maybe bandit, with all his energy, comes running up to your pokemon and headbutts them. at which point jack follows. ]

[ the wagging of his tail doesn't amuse jack. ]

I figure now's a good time to travel. Not a lot of people out in the snow. If I can pick up some warm clothes, and with the Growlithe to help, I can get pretty far on my own.

Yeah, most of us holed up for the winter. My partner doesn't exactly come with a lot of padding since Cyberlife wanted to choose the 'twink' bodytype for their robocop, so it's just better to keep his skinny human hands out of the snow for any extended amount of time.

Otherwise, it's way better than Detroit winters here. Pretty mild, in my opinion.

[ at the twink bodytype, jack bursts out laughing, getting it under control after a moment but still smirking. ]

Well, tell your partner I feel his pain. Before I joined the military, I was definitely more of the slim body type.

I've convinced him to layer so he should be fine. I think. As for me, he who doesn't die as a chad is doomed to become a bear. So I should be fine.

We've got the proper insulation from all that cold, right?

[ look jack doesn't really gain weight, but the muscle has to count for something. he'll put on the pounds soon enough ]

Yeah, I can't imagine Sgt. Brick Shithouse here getting chilly on his long trek. [Jack has made it into the 'not safe from being teased' category.]

More seriously, though, I'll make sure you get that egg. It'll make it a lot easier. Tubbs is the dad and he's great for that kind of thing.

Thank you. It was pretty cold on the walk up here and it only gets worse further in. I figured getting to the center of this place is a good goal and Goldenrod isn't a short walk.

[ jack prefers whiskey to anything else - partially because it used to get him the closest to drunk he could, but it's also what he grew up on. ]
