So... congrats to all the winners, I watched from the television. Sorry I couldn't make it to all of my friends...

But I'm sick.

Guess who has PokeWalk? This girl.

Don't come to visit, I'm highly contagious. Doctor said to stay home. All my kids are quarantined too. We've been sick all month. Groceries are left at my door, so we're actually being fed.

Sorry for the radio silence. But I don't think ANYONE wanted to see me in between moments of losing my breakfast, lunch and supper.

Sticky's still thrilled about it! Tonks is a little jealous though.

Well, you just have more time to practice for the next round! I wish Contests happened more often though. Or that that being involved in Contests was a title you could take, like Trainer or Breeder. I'm technically a Breeder, but I've never had a single egg.

Being a Contest Participant would be a regular thing, and I think it would be a real nice thing for people to strive for. I'm less of a Trainer these days to be honest.

Did you ever do the Gym crawl, or face the Elite Four?

I've done... four...? Gyms? Maybe? Yeah four, at the elite level.

So you found you like writing your manga and hanging with your kids better?

Pretty much. Although when I feel motivated for a challenge, the adrenaline junkie in me decides to go and challenge at the elite level.

Well, you've got magical girl battle experience, so you probably have a sense for it. I've got some Pokemon near level 100 just from having them protect me from wild Pokemon for so long, but... Most of my kids aren't fighters. Neither am I. I kinda lack that competitive spirit.

Yeah that's true. It takes a lot of experience to fight at the Elite level and even then, battling through the Victory Road takes a lot of preparation from what I heard.

But don't sell yourself short. People are capable of doing incredible things when they're pushed to their limits.

Self defense is totally different! But when I have to battle another Trainer-- I feel so bad for the other Pokemon if they're losing! It kinda ruins my concentration. I should be focusing on my Pokemon, not the competition.

Mmm, have you ever done it in a way that is competitive sports then?

Perhaps something like a mindset like that would be more fun.

Actually, that's where all my problems started. I used to run competitive track because I liked running, but I could never improve my times the way the coach wanted me to, because I didn't really care about winning. I just liked letting my energy loose, you know? But it made some of my teammates mad, because I had the potential... I just couldn't tap it.

It's why I got into music instead. I don't have to worry about being the best, I can just make the music I love, and maybe make other people smile in the process!

That makes a lot of sense. If you want to excel at something competitive, you want to give it your all, and if your heart isn't into it, then you can't excel.

You've got it. It just wasn't fair to the rest of the team. But it's not something that I regret being a part of either. I still go jogging every morning!
