19th Match // video // Goldenrod
[Today's home video features Adorababy the Sylveon and an unknown Eevee. 'Dora is sitting on his haunches, front paws and back toes all lined up in a neat little row. He looks mildly confused (but not unhappy) as the Eevee circles around him, headbutting him and rubbing against him like a fluffy kitten. This adorable video is accompanied at first only by the adoring "Veeee!"s enunciated by the worshiping Eevee, but after about twenty seconds of cuteness overload, the cameraman speaks up.]
Is anybody missing a puppycat?
[Whaddup, it's ya boi, Krieg. He sounds just as confused as 'Dora looks. The Eevee is oblivious to all of the confusion it's causing, completely and utterly absorbed as it is in its worshipful adulations.]
It followed us home from Goldenrod and won't go away.

video;
[Adorababy trills protestingly in the background. That's not true!]
But thanks. I'll let you know if I gotta take you up on it.
[If rehoming the little guy on the mainland fails, that is. Because he knows Pidge is Shiro's favorite basement gremlin, and expects she's still in the basement, on the island.]
video;
I think it disagrees with you on that.
[And then she lets that shit go with another shrug.]
Well, I'll be around if you do. I'm sure you know how to find me.
[Since... Yes, she's definitely still spending most of her time in the basement on the island.]
video;
Pfff! That's because it's a sweetheart.
[Adorababy trills again. He's also right!!!
Though the combination of 'Dora's insistent vocalizations and Pidge's offer have clearly cheered him up.]
Yeah, I know! Thanks again!
video;
No problem.
In the meantime, you should probably call it something other than "Puppycat."
video;
[He's not keeping it.
That he knows of.
]The denial is strong in this one.
But what's wrong with Puppycat? It's what it is.
video;
All Pokémon have proper species names, though. Why don't you call it that?
video;
[Nicknames are kind of his thing.]
video;
So if you already gave that little guy a nickname, then doesn't that mean you're planning on keeping it?
video;
[Look, the distinction is subtle but it's there, okay? Never mind that literally all of his other (caught) Pokemon are nicknamed based on what they are.]
