[Mettaton isn't the sort to be embarrassed easily. But when he hears the human behind him utter such negative things, he--at first--takes it to mean that he is the sad one in the situation.

Turning, he has the self-awareness to at least look taken aback.

But...then the guy does have a point he can agree with:]

Maybe the idea was just to look like most people's idea of ghosts, but that doesn't seem to be workin' on either of us.
