If you were a well-meaning yet clumsy Pokémon, where would you accidentally drop the last part of a 3000-piece puzzle?

[Cecil looks more puzzled than annoyed or upset, but in the background a Roserade, a Quagsire and a Togekiss are turning his kitchen upside down. Even as he desperately shakes a chair, the Quagsire starts crying. In an attempt to console him, the Roserade acientally hits his face with a flower.]

My team is dealing with slight... technical difficulties, you see, and we've run out of ideas.

What's the picture on the puzzle?

It's a lifelike painting of a Pidgeot attacking a swarm of Weedles defended by a Beedrill. The artist is from Celadon, he sells puzzles and reproductions of his works. He's so talented, you can almost hear the Pokémon cry out as they battle!

[The Quagsire looks up from his attempt to manipulate the water in the pipes long enough to express his appreciation of the picture. It's very pretty!]

So he cut up a painting to make a puzzle?

Or is it a picture of the painting?

It's only a picture of it. He mentioned selling the original years ago, but he keeps a copy of all his works, including the commissions and the sketches too simple to sell.

I've never done a really big puzzle. Did it take you guys a long time?

It took them a few days, but it's hardly their first, and they've not spent all their waking hours on it. They found the Pidgeot's feathers particularly difficult; I recall numerous sighs as they worked on that part.

Why was that part harder?

It involved large sections with little color variation and repetitive patterns. After some time, if you do not take a break, all cream-colored pieces start to look identical.

But they got it done anyway?

[She seems impressed.]

There was much grumbling and complaining involved at times, but they did not abandon their task. Their efforts were rewarded with a complete Pidgeot and early access to the latest batch of cookies.

So, now you just have the once piece left?

That's right. A single piece left, yet it somehow managed to disappear... You can imagine their frustration.

Yeah. That's a lot of time for one missing piece. Do you think you'll find it?

If it is intact and inside the house, we'll certainly find it. If not, I'll simply have to buy another copy of the puzzle. Even if it will disappoint them.

Would you have to do the whole puzzle over again, or just look for that one piece in the box?

I've been told looking for the piece would be simpler. I might even ask one of my Psychic-types for help, if needed. That would surely be within their power.
