Sixth 👻 Story [Audio/Action for...Route 37?] BACKDATED TO THE 19TH
[No video today, which is weird for Ashley! Usually she switches that on, for convenience. Instead, it's just her heavy breathing and frustrated voice.]
Okay, someone, please tell me you've found a charm, or an incantation, or anything, because this is getting ridiculous. It's been four days but sh- look, I'm glad she's not being- not throwing anything yet or- but nothing I try is working, and I'm getting so...
[She trails off, as she's started to sound increasingly more upset.]
If anyone's had luck, just- tell me? I- I thought ghosts were supposed to let you know what they want, not...just stand there.
[With a defeated tone, she just clicks off her Pokégear.]
[ACTION FOR ROUTE 37, LATER]
[Whatever advice she gets, as the afternoon sets in, Ashley becomes increasingly impatient and decides maybe leaving Ecruteak, which she has dubbed Ghost City, will make her more effective in escaping her haunting.
Unfortunately, she'd opted for quick travel, so that makes this route an untraveled road, so she gets a little tripped up and takes way longer than she should and the point is the sun's starting to set and she's getting really nervous. Being outside, alone, in the dark with the ghost of her dead friend following her?
Yeah, that is enough to make anyone twitchy, but for Ashley it's a beautiful concoction of extreme terror. In her nervous departure, she'd forgotten to grab any Pokémon she could ride, so that makes this a slower, more harrowing journey. Clinging to her shiny Eevee, she makes her way down the route, trembling all the while and trying to breathe deep and calm down.
Every rustle of grass or snap of a twig completely obliterates that plan, though; she barely goes a few minutes without jumping or stifling a shriek, especially when she loses sight of the ghost, for it will undoubtedly just pop up soon once again...]

I'd like to apologize and rescind prior statements incorrectly theorizing about the status of ghosts here.

Action
Excuse me, are you all right?
*he speaks up when he's close enough to be easily seen, but far enough to give her fair warning that someone's approaching. His absol is at his side, and trailing behind him is a ghost that looks pretty much exactly like him but with golden hair instead of silver, which he's studiously trying to ignore*
audio:
I wish to God you'd been right, ugh!! Please tell me you have a plan, please?

[That voice was a guy's and not the one she's been dreading and that all hits her at once, so Ashley drops her head so her forehead's buried in sweet, sweet Eevee fur.]
I- I'm sorry. [Mumbled, muffled.] I'm. No, I don't think I really am at all. It's the ghosts.

Perhaps it would be best to head to the city?
*it might be better than wandering out here alone, at least*

I w-was thinking if I got far enough away, then- [She looks up, sees his obvious ghost, and just. Freezes.
Why is it always twins?]
...But obviously that's not gonna work. They're everywhere, aren't they? The ghosts.
no subject
*his isn't precisely a twin, for that matter, but he's not very inclined to explain if he doesn't have to*
audio:
I'm working on it. Results of the plan pending. John gave me permission to test things on his ghost, since I didn't get one myself, so we'll see what works. You'll be first on the list if something produces a favorable result. [ Well, after Dave. Get rid of that guy first. ]

[That's actually a pretty good question, give him a second.]
Oh, you ever been to that tower in Violet City? I bet the monks there could do it, monks are like priests, right?
