[Maya is standing next to a shiny!Boldore. She's a bit large but still. Just hanging out there while Maya brings the gear to focus.]

So, has anyone run into a pokemon here that looks a lot like a creature from their world? I understand a few look like various types of animals. I mean they look enough like the specific creature that you're not sure if they brought a version here and somehow it's the middle stage of a pokemon evolution?

Because this Boldore looks disturbingly like a Crystalisk.

[Said creature is just now just crunching snow in the background and luckily misses the next part.]

Hopefully people in this world aren't trying to harvest the crystals on it.

I- might've reacted badly the first time I saw a Houndour. They looked Grimm for back home, for just a second.

...I was gonna go looking for wild ones with the Geek Girl but we never got to go.

[Does he still miss Gaige? Yes, absolutely - it's clear in his voice. But even though the Mechromancer isn't here with them, he knows she's happily spreading the seeds of anarchy back home, and that knowledge makes missing her easier.]

....I'd still go look for the wild ones.

We should go find some wild ones then. I'm interested in finding out what sort of habits these ones live in.

The Geek Girl knew which ones, but I don't remember. Maybe the monster encyclopedia knows?

If it was Gaige then she most likely found the information there or online.

[If Maya knew, the info has half a chance of coming from the library because books.]

Cave hunting sounds like fun.

Why do people try and harvest their crystals? Are they considered valuable?

Yeah. We found some echo logs of the discovery of the creatures actually. They used to be friendly until the Dahl company decided to mine them for the crystals.

Now they attack on sight.

[Probably like the only friendly creatures there too, so like thanks Dahl?]

It's sad that people have forced them to become something they are not, but in a strange way, I'm a little glad too. At least they are capable of defending themselves.

Well they could always defend themselves against other creatures. They wouldn't survive on Pandora if they couldn't. It's too bad they weren't able to know when not to fight people on sight. Or if they learnt to hide.

We killed a lot of them going through that area.

[Vault hunters kill so many things/people. So many.]

But then again I suppose it keeps them safe from the bandits or other corporations that aren't vault hunters, so that's a good thing.

What is the animal life on Pandora like anyway? Is there anything, well... not lethal?

[Does Pandora have butterflies? Bunnies?]

I know it's a dangerous planet, but it's hard to imagine how it looks. Are there oceans on Pandora? Deserts?

I only know the creatures we came across and they were all lethal. If Sir Hammerlock was here he'd probably be able to give you a more detailed report about the wildlife. He sent us out on a few research expeditions while we were on Pandora to look into the creatures a bit more. We mostly found even more deadly creatures.

[Hammerlock would either love this place or hate it and probably drive everyone insane.]

Pandora's a large planet and we were only on part of it but there's a lot of different types of places. Frozen lands, caves, highlands. I had more notes back there as I was trying to keep track of things for my research but if you're really interested I can send you some notes about the areas we travelled through.

I got this one as an egg so it was a surprise to me as well. It just recently evolved from a form that looked like a large rock.

I'm not sure where they crystal elements came from.

They really are. And I thought I was pretty much used to weird by now.

At least they aren't trying to kill us.

I mean except for the times they do.

But that doesn't happen too often....

The very, incredibly few times maybe. But even then it's not like the world's had to develop any technology or pokemon to kill them in self defense.

Reckon there's a handful, yeah. Heck, some of them look like most folks that live in my world.

Not exactly. My world don't exactly have "people". Or human folk, at least.
